If you've played Betrayal at Krondor, you're probably familiar with the
name of Neal Hallford as chief game designer and writer of that game.

There are still rights issues preventing the making of a true BaK sequel (the
story was initially envisioned as a two-parter, and Return to Krondor
and Betrayal in Antara both have absolutely nothing to do with that
original plan). However, he's now talking about the possibility of a
game very much like BaK, if not set in Midkemia. Where we come in is
signing the petition to indicate sufficient support, and spreading the
word so that the project might be financially aided via Kickstarter, but
we're still very much at the 'brainstorming if this will even work'
phase.

Alright folks, previously I've had a handful of people who have said they'd be
"in" for a sequel to Krondor. As I explained before, the rights to
Midkemia are tied up for the foreseeable future, but there's nothing
that prevents us from building the spiritual sequel. Before we start
down the daisy path of doing a Kickstarter campaign, I first need to
know if you're in. I mean REALLY in to make this happen. It's a lot of
work to build a game, and it's a commitment of more than a year of my
life to make it happen. So this is what I want you to do.

Today I've set up a petition. If we gather the signatures of more than 5,000
people who are willing to say that their will either personally donate
or help raise $200 apiece, we'll launch our Kickstarter to make it
happen. Simple as that. Right now no one is on the hook for money, just
going out and evangelizing to show us how much you loved that original
game.

For now, it's in your hands. Share the hell out of it if
you're interested. ...
