Need advice on what to do

Hello escapists,

Today my girlfriend asked me to move in with her, and I was excited, but we both have the same close friends that we wouldn't want to give up if the relationship ended. So I was thinking, that if we do eventually break up what do we do about this potential problem?

P.S. I thought I should mention that I introduced her to her now close friends, just in case it would change your advice

Speaking as someone who lost almost all of her friends to an ugly breakup a few years back...
Should the two of you eventually break up, my advice to you is:

1. Don't be a dick about it.
2. Don't make them choose sides.
3. Find ways to hang out with them on neutral ground, since spending time at the previously shared living space is no longer an option.
4. Resist the temptation to tell them about every little detail about why you broke up, keep it between you and your lady.
5. And for the love of God, don't ask them to inform you about what your girl is doing.

There's no reason that you wouldn't be able to continue having the same friends.
Just be mature about how you handle the aftermath, pray your girlfriend does the same, and you should be okay.
