Hey, so i have a birthday coming up and i'm looking to get a new graphics card. The card i'm looking at has a power consumption of 500 watts. My current psu is a 500 watts. Will I need a new psu to run this card or will it be fine?

Here is the card : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11200-14-20G-Card-HD7850-GDDR5/dp/B008HV63F0/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1368393340&sr=1-7&keywords=graphics+card

What are your current specs and what's the graphics card you're looking at?

You can try this build your own:

http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/Power

Put in the parts and it calculates it for you.

Yeah it's more than likely a recommended minimum PSU rather than the total power consumption of the graphics card alone so assuming your PSU is of reasonable quality you will probably get away with it. That being said more information is required for an informed recommendation.
