I'm DMing a D&D 3.5 campaign with a few friends, and here's your chance to show off your musical knowledge. By epic, I mean I'd prefer classical, since it lends good atmosphere. Also, public domain is preferred, since I'm a little low on cash at the moment.

There's always Piracy!

I'm... just kidding, of course.

When I think "Epic Music" I think of these two songs.

But they aren't exactly classical music, nor are they public domain to my knowledge, so... Sorry.

Go to the epic community site and download the bulletstorm soundtrack for free, and listen to the main menu track.

Hold on, I'll search through my spotify account and compile a few, but heres a starter:

EDIT: Are youtube videos okay? if you have an account I think you can make a playlist and have them play one after another automatically, or how are you planning to work the music?

Here's a good one from Kingdom Hearts:

There's a download link in the description.
I lent that to someone a few months ago and I haven't seen them since... the same with Shadow Of The Colossus and my OK Computer album...<.<

Just do a LastFM search for Puccini, Verdi, Prokofiev or Wagner or some other opera. Most of the famous pieces of those (ie. the ones that appear on LastFM) are the dramatic, tense ones; such as Montagues & Capulets and Ride of the Valkyries.

Two Steps from Hell is a company that makes Production Trailer Music which is bought and used by other studios for trailers so as not to spoil their own soundtrack.

Epic as in just great:

Epic as in something that Lord of the Rings would play during the siege of Minas Tirith:
