I've been having trouble connecting my xbox 360(the fat white one) to xbox live. I haven't had any problems until today and it's pissing me off terribly. I'm using my laptop to connect to a Verizon 4G LTE Jetpack, and my 360 connects to my laptop via ethernet cable. Like I said before, this usually works fine. However, it keeps on telling me I have an IP address error. I have tried clearing the system cache, resetting the Jetpack and my computer, and have set the network settings to factory default several times, yet the problem persists.
The error report says that my router or modem may not be automatically assigning an IP address or that it may not be set up to provide IP addresses. Any help would be appreciated. I am using windows 8 on my laptop if that helps at all.
