Need help finding name of this old game

It was either early PS2 game or ps1 game. I'm thinkin though it was ps2. All I remember was that It was a sci-fi space combat game. You flew around in your litte ship and shot enemies. Another thing I remember was that I'm guessing you were on the human side vs aliens and the human side had this giant ship that fired a beam that destroyed the aliens motherships as they came through a worm hole the the thing was If you have played this game you'll remember this ship so basically thats my only hope for someone to remember this game. The ship looked like a giant gun barrel with two crosses at the other end. I've ran through all of wikipedias list of "flight simulation" games and couldnt find the one that looked like it
It was very fast paced kinda like ace combat 4.

It wasnt warhawk, colony wars or omega boost which someone suggested in another thread. Omega boost looked great I can't believe i didnt play that game back then.

Basically, the game i'm trying to remember you just flew a pod or spacecraft fighter. I remember one part of the game you acquired an alien space fighter at one point and I remember this very specifically you had to shoot these things floating in space it was like an alien relic. You had to shoot them in the right order and then something happened. I also remember having to defend the ship from large floating asteroids.

The graphics It seemed to me were great even for ps1 could be a ps2 early game.

And Space Pirate Percy was in it, but he was afraid of the roar space ships made. It was made in 1996 and was only playable at 4:00. Parents only saw static. The villain didn't have a jaw.

But seriously, I am thinking Darkstar One but that was PC and Xbox360.

i also need help finding a old game all i can remeber since i only had teh demo was its on ps2 so its starts off your a kid i think in a village some evil guy restects a demon that takes this girl you could also enter your name and there was no voice acting so one of the lines were'help me insertname here please' after the demon comes you have to rebuild the village you also venture into a cave you have to eat bread and drink water or ypu like colappse at one point your in a cave and find a water fall it was desighned so you ran out of water befor you could reach the exit of the cave and you were rescued by some guy he then gives you a glass water bottle thta you can use you also place down tsome building in the demo you could only go for three days befor it ended any help

I know you flew around in a space fighter 100% of the time but maybe its categorized as something else maybe adventure/shooter?

Do you at least have a vague idea what the name of the game is or even sounds like? Do you know EXACTLY the genre this game is from that would really help....

All I can think of is Darklight Conflict but not sure if that meets the criteria or not. Not like I played the game a whole lot and I don't remember much about it, but it sounds vaguely similar. Do you remember anything about what the disc/case looked like?

I feel your pain. I was looking for this game for 2 years until 3 nights ago when a friend helped me find it. No one on message boards could help me. I remembered everything from 0:55 onwards.


Try explaining that crap. (Although, I did remember what the screens meant - just not the games plot.) Believe it or not that game did have good leveling mechanics. I laughed when I found out it was made by Microprose. (I was practically raised by Microprose between ages 12-18 and should have checked.)
