Need help picking a race

So im trying to make a badass deamonhunter in skyrim but i can not pick a race to play as im sick of nords, the main thing i want is how badass they look in a black hood

Instantly thought "Dark Elf" when I saw Demon Hunter. Probably because of the fire resistance and magical abilities.

So long as it's not human (bit too common in Skyrim) I don't think you can really go wrong.

High Elves are good for mage characters and Wood Elves are good for like an archer/stealthy character. I have those for my secondary characters.

The playstyle is irrelevant, because the answer is always Breton.

If you're talking Lore rather than gameplay then you probably want a Dark Elf seeing as the "Demons" in question are probably Daedra.

Examples:

Can make an ex-tribunal follower that used to hunt down rogue Daedra worshipping sects among their own people before the fall of the tribunal and has carried on doing so because that's all they know? "No mercy for the misguided."

Or a former cultist of one of the "evil" Daedra who realised they'd gone to far one night and now hunts down their former brothers and sisters and all the summoned Daedra they've brought into the world. "Through the destruction of our enemies do we earn our salvation."

There's a lot of ways you could play it.

As badass as Argonians are, consider this; if your Argonian has horns, how pissed off will you be that the horns glitch out every time he puts on a hood, helmet or basically any kind of headgear? This is frankly something that bugs me, since I put so much effort into making my own Argonian look as intimidating as possible, and then some lazy programming means he gets his horns sheared off. He doesn't look right without them. If you absolutely must have a hood, don't give him horns, or even just play a different race that won't have this issue.

Of course, choose your sideburns with care, they have a tendency to clip through hoods. Better go for the cute mustache.

Now, there is one main thing to keep in mind when choosing a Skyrim-race. It doesn't really matter to your playstyle at all after a while which race you chose, since you can close the skill-gap fairly easily. The race bonus is a suggestion, and you can do perfectly fine, even if you picked the "wrong" role. Like a Breton barbarian or a Khajiit paladin or an Orc accountant.

as for that there's a mod for that if you own a pc its called horns are forever is even on the steam workshop so installing is easy

They also bare their teeth when they attack or after they kill someone, it kinda makes them look like they are smiling.

This went really well with my Argonian assassin who I called Kills-with-a-Smile.

good points so far, seems to a toss up between Argonian Dark Elf and Khajiit maby redgurad, guess il have to consolecommand an old save to test things out (i dont know why dint think of that)

If I had any imagination for Fantasy names I bet I still wouldn't have come up with something half as awesome as that!
