Need some help with iTunes

Ok, so I'm attempting to put a movie onto my new iPod touch but when I drag the file into iTunes so I can sync it to my iPod...iTunes crashes and won't respond, some insight into a remedy would be useful, my thanks.

Is no longer whimsical enough for a creative signature.

Take the thing back, ask for your money back, and buy something that doesn't tie you into quasi-viral software.
