Just last week I got what my boss so affectionately calls a nerd stamp of the Legend of Zelda Triforce on my wrist.

So who else here has gaming tattoos? I want to see them!

This guy I know that works at my local Gamestop has a Gears of War tattoo. It's pretty sweet.

It's always Zelda tattoos...the games are great, but there are more deserving games for your tattooing needs. Like Gunstar Heroes.

I don't have one, but was thinking of getting the daedric letter "Oht" on my fore arm.

Nice tat, homedog. For shizzle and such.

I've been thinking of getting a tattoo for a while, but I don't want to get some superficial thing just because I think it's cool.

That's good. This is actually my fourth tattoo and they all have a story for me. To me my Zelda tattoo is more than just a Zelda tattoo. I was recently laid off (you might have read about it on Kotaku or something- I work(ed) at Volition) and I got this tattoo to show my dedication to the gaming industry. I'm getting back in it, and I will always be able to look at my wrist and be like, yeap, I'm a nerd and I belong here. The reason I picked Zelda was the original was the first game I ever beat and I have always been a fan.

My wife has a Horde symbol on her left shoulderblade. I'm contemplating getting one myself, on my shoulder. Given that it's a symbol, it doesn't scream 'NERD!!!' quite as loudly as it might to get, say, a tattoo of a character like Mario/Luigi, Sonic, etc.

Basically, if you know what it is, you're only slightly less of a nerd than I am, and only because you didn't get it put on your hide permanently... and really, that's just aesthetics, now isn't it?

Well, at least you have good taste.

I can't commit to getting a tattoo. I want to, but I keep rethinking it at the last minute.
Also it's not legal yet, but that's not important.
Okay Max, I just want to get this out of the way. Why are our post always right next to each other or near as such. It's like an unspoken law. Than again, why do I always have to respond to you?
Because you are a creepy stalker.

What is Gunstar Heroes? (I have just illustrated the problem with getting a tattoo referencing that game)

That would be a pretty excellent looking tattoo.
fact Gunstar Heroes is the absolute best Genesis game and the absolute best Virtual Console game for the Wii. /fact

The tattoo I was going to get was from Elder Scrolls, though. And a tattoo doesn't have to reference something popular. Its allowed to reference a game series that only a few people would actually know.

Just remind yourself that when you are old and wrinkly, that tattoo will look like vomit.

Nah, that's not necessarily true: with the inks they have nowadays, provided you don't pick out a body part where the skin is going to experience substantial growth, or loss of elasticity, it should hold up quite well, unless you're going to do something stupid, like fade it out in the sun.

Lower arms and legs are good, shoulders and backs are good, breasts (male or female) and bellies are bad, butts are particularly bad... :p
