What do the people on the escapist think about Net Neutrality? I'll assume that most, if not all the members on this site are for net neutrality, so I am going to play devil's advocate. While I can think of arguments that are against what I will say, I am going to suppress them.
Why it is bad.
1. Government regulation could only kill innovation of ISPs.
2. Don't fix what isn't broken (the web has remain mostly net neutral)
3. Free market will correct any net neutral problems
4. Allowing the FCC to get involved will eventually lead to the government controlling the internet. (now I am starting to sound like fox news)

If you have any arguments against net neutrality I will add it to the list. And again, I am NOT against Net Neutrality, I am just curious of the arguments of both sides.

EDIT: quick google search. Yeah, I'm all for it. Can't see anydownsides. Although aren't those arguments you raised for net neutrality?

1. No it won't. What will kill innovation is allowing ISPs to stifle it by making it more difficult for new start-ups to reach their users.

2. The net, as it is currently, is most certainly not neutral in some places. It's already begun, and it needs to be nipped in the bud.

3. No, it won't. Internet access is a duopoly in most places (in the US at least). Free market solutions don't work in that sort of environment.

4. Yes, yes you are.
