Ok, I know this has been done before, but there is a difference.

The first thing is, are you on any of the networking websites, such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc. If not, do you have particular reasons or have you just never thought about it?

The main thing is, would you want to connect up with Escapist friends on them? A few of us who are meeting at Escapism UK have added each other on Facebook, and I'm following a few people from here on Twitter. Or would you rather keep your groups of friends seperate?

PS if anyone does want to hook up with me on Facebook it's Jenny Rolton. I've checked, I'm the only one.

Im on Hyves because a friend got me into it. Now I blog it casually. I kinda like people adding me and stuff, its a nice way to getting in touch.

Its also a slightly less direct way to get into contact with new people. Almost not asking for a phone number straight awya so to speak.

I'm on Facebook, and I'm pretty sure there's an Escapist group you can join isn't there? I was on Myspace for a bit, but I found it to be full of melancholic idiots, so I deleted my account.

Pretty much this. I just don't really see the point of them. I see all my friends every day at school anyway, and if I want to talk to them more, I just phone them.

However, when I've become ridiculously rich, I do intend to buy MySpace and Facebook. I will then amalgamate the two, and I shall call it...

I'm on Facebook :) Just recently deleted my Myspace account. Fell too far behind, and pretty much my whole school abandoned it :/

Just Facebook. I signed up when it first started out. I don't use it much, usually just to organize events or outings with friends. Seeing as I'm relatively new here, I would rather wait before I add people on here to my FB friends.

Well some people don't see each other every day like you do or have friends abroad so this kind of sites help them keep in touch.

I actually never used any of those ,although i understand the reason for the popularity , I rather just call.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not criticising the sites themselves. They're brilliant for helping people who live a long way from each other keep in touch, I just don't see the point in using them myself, as I have no need to.

I have a Facebook that I have never used and dislike, and a Myspace that I use to keep track of bands. I use my Twitter semi regularly, but I am well and truly bound to Livejournal. The majority of my online time is spent on lj.

And I haven't been on the Escapist long enough to say! But if lj-ing and Escapist people added me, I wouldn't mind. They'd probably defriend me fairly quickly due to how much I post and how injokey it is. Unless they liked that sort of thing.

I used to have a Myspace account, but deleted it after a while. Site's an absolute mess.

As for Facebook, I've been considering getting an account (certainly less messy than Myspace), but haven't decided yet.

EDIT: Although, I loathe those 'I'm a fan of' things. It's like Facebook's trying to force me to conform.

I'm on Facebook, it's the professional's Myspace. Easy way to keep in touch with people, etc.

I'll tell you what I don't get though: Twitter.

Seriously, what's the point in one-dimensional comments, when you could have a proper conversation?
