It's actually kind of interesting. They aren't exactly taking Call of Duty in a new direction, but these new perks and gametypes seem to suggest that the game is going to play a little bit differently this time around. At a glance, it doesn't seem like any of the perks from any previous games are going to be returning, and are instead being replaced with... really interesting perks.
Things I thought stood out;
-Knives have changed. It looks like no more one hit kills. Now a separate knife slot that allows the use of a... hammer. Cool.
-A pistol attachment for sniper rifles. That coupled with the rumor that aim assist is going to be taking away from the snipers makes it sound like there's no more quick scoping.
-A perk that let's you feign death, yet somehow still sounds balanced
-A new "elite" version of perks, that combines two pro perks in order to have a sort of super perk for an added effect
-A game type that forces you to switch to the opposing team when you die.
Needless to say, if these details are true, this isn't just going to be a Black Ops with a different box. I kinda gave up hope for the series after MW3, but I'm genuinely curious about this game now. It sounds completely different.
