I got rather excited when I first heard about this. One of my favourite books, being brought (back) to the big screen; the potential for bringing the world of debauchery and corruption covered by a veneer of society and demonstrated by some of the most brilliantly crafted characters is incredible. But....
COLIN FIRTH as Lord Henry?!?!
For those who don't know Lord Henry is the suave sophisticated dark character that leads Dorian to his descent into corruption. He is my personal favourite character in the book, witty and every line quotable. So why cast him as this idiot. You could have gone for some one perfect for the role (Stephen Fry), but instead they've gone for a prat who's only popular in rom coms and couldn't act his way out of a wicker basket. Why don't you just have Dorian played by nick cage while your at it?
