New game from creators of Bastion announced

Supergiant Games is presenting you Transistor:


This game is set in a futuristic world, has the same fighting system as Bastion and a female red-head lead. Amazing songs included.

What's your opinion? I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on it, but sadly the release is currently planned for 2014...

Bastion was astounding, in so many categories, and I can't wait for more from Supergiant.

EDIT: Nevermind, Supergiant confirmed that the game isn't narrated. While I'm slightly disappointed, I have to admit that not every game or story works with a narrator. If you keep putting it everywhere, it's gonna get stale and annoying.

EDIT: Nevermind, Supergiant confirmed that the game isn't narrated. While I'm slightly disappointed, I have to admit that not every game or story works with a narrator. If you keep putting it everywhere, it's gonna get stale and annoying.

Well, one thing to keep in mind is with a name like Transistor and the plot focuses on influential voices, not people, disappearing I am willing to bet the story will be told strongly through audio in some way. Perhaps 3 Dog-esque but with multiple jockeys offering differing viewpoints. Could be interesting to see how they do this one.

This definitely looks pretty cool. If I do have one concern, it's that it just kind of looks the same as Bastion. I mean, similar art style, the same layout, similar looking combat... It wouldn't be a deal-breaker though, in any form, seeing as all those things were pretty awesome when Bastion did it. As long as Supergiant keep the story quality as high as before and they make sure to give Logan Cunningham a massive voice part, I'll be content.

I think the re-used animation is place holder stuff and not representative of the final. However, I'm still getting the vibe that if you didn't find Bastion very exciting I highly doubt this will turn your head.

That being said, I found Bastion very exciting. My head is turning so fast you don't even know. Song was rad too.
