Saw the first movie recently, avidly waiting for the second one.

I might just have to pop in John Wick today after watching that kick ass trailer. The action should be on point, I just hope they are able to keep the same tone with the same type of humor.

They don't have to do a three, but if the second one is better, I don't mind. John Wick is one of the best R-Rated action films to come out in a long time. That goes for Deadpool, the Raid movies, and Scott Adkin's works too. Even though this practice is starting to die off, we are getting too many movies that try to PG-13, have little to no blood, and full of shitty shaky cam galore. R-Rated movies have been guilty of this too in many cases. I may like the first three Borune films, but I loathed the camera work in Supremacy and Ultimatum. Legacy should have been it's own movie without the name, and Jason Bourne just plain sucked. The whole realism thing wannabe writers and hack directors claim when making these type of films don't know how to direct or edit action at all. In some cases (Alex Cross), they will add even more shaky cam in post production. Turning a mess into an unbearable mess. Hopefully with the reception JB got, maybe everyone in Hollywood can finally take a gint.Johnny Novgorod said:

Man, that looks Wick-edly cool! I remember the first film being not something mindblowing, but what it had in spades above any other action film this century was style. It was like the night club scene from Collateral but an entire movie's length. This looks like exactly that, and that's far from a bad thing. It might be style over substance, but man, what style it is. Gimme plenty of sharp dressed guys shooting each other and Ian McShane and I'll be in the theater.
Who thinks JW is the next Die Hard or Hard Boiled? i do and saw the first one 2 times in theaters and became one of my fave films in recent memory.
