The other day I woke up early and decided I was a hungry squirrel/human that craved a breakfast as he was walking to the bus station. Since there was not a Dunkin Donuts along the way to fulfill my need for an egg and cheese on a bagel, I infiltrated the nearest open restraunt open at 8:00 AM which happened to be none other than a Micky D's, or as the French call it: Chez Macdo. Fortunately for me, they had recently added a new item to their breakfast menu: an egg and cheese on a bagel.

My excitement soon turned to dismay the moment the cashier handed me the bag. I took the sandwich out of the bag and held the soggy mess in my hand. The bagel practically drooped and the texture was damp in the hand. Initial impressions were bad and it went downhill from there. The taste was something of a nightmare mixed with engine grease and a touch of hyperbole. Halfway through the sandwich became a donation to the nearest hobo. I didn't watch, but my guess is he used it as a pillow. Perhaps my opinion of the sandwich is skewed by my prejudice I have against chain breakfast that is not the Double D. Anyone in the Northeast is spoiled by having a Dunkin Donuts no more than a 2 minute drive from their house and that is the much better choice.

Please note I have no qualms with McDonald's lunch menu, but breakfast is something best left to the specialists, even Honeydew makes a better breakfast. In conclusion, pickled pig's feet would have made a better breakfast than the McDonald's egg and cheese on a bagel.

I thought maybe the title was just draw in for another Crysis review, but it wasn't, and it was also a really great review. I would never eat this, but still, it's good to know.

Well, it's Mcdonalds. Not really the place where you buy food and go "Wow, my excpectations are really high on this new item! Maybe this time, it will taste just as good as the item looks in the commercials." But still, great review. I'll be keeping it in mind next time I walk past that place in disgust.

I actually enjoy the Mcmuffins they serve for breakfast, one of the few things I actually like about them.

ugh, i live in a town in northwest england with a ridiculous name (rawtenstall), its the ONLY place in the world i think that a Tesco has actually closed due to poor business. we don't EVEN have a McDonalds here, or any of the big name fast food chains, BK etc. Normally its something that does my nut early in the morning when i'm starving on the way to work, but this review has lifted me up a bit, hey it could be worse, i could have wasted a few quid on one of them bagels, maybe its divine intervention

Then god really needs to get his priorities straight, There are kids starving in Africa and we don't have enough good games to ignore them!

Well, uh, if you live in Canada, just go get one of the breakfast sandwiches at Tim Hortons! You can swap the fluffy tea biscuit for any kind of bagel that you want (and they do have a nice bagel selection) and you have your choice of bacon, sausage, or just plain ol' egg-n-fromage.

McDonalds breakfast burritos? Now THOSE are worth going out of your way for.

I feel bad for those who eat fastfood on a daily, even monthly or weekly basis. It's just not that good and I'd rather make a little more expensive home meal.

Hungry Jack's (or Burger King) serve the best fast-food breakfasts. Can't beat a double whopper at 7am.

Sometimes the breakfasts are soggy and gross - I recommend ordering a slightly non-standard sandwich, so they have to make it fresh.

personally i'd be happier inserting a croissant up my nether regions, throwing it up then eating it again, to having McDonalds for breakfast
