New PC Gamer- PLEASE HELP

Hey guys, since I'm not particularly interested in getting an Xbone or a PS4, I've started to transition into pc gaming. But I'm not very good at using a mouse, especially being left-handed it fucks with everything on the keyboard and whatever.

So, advice about gamepads. Which one should I get, (I'm running Windows 8.1), and what do I have to do to get it working?

Are you more used to xbox or playstation products? There is a logitech controller that very closely resembles a PS controller, and xbox 360 controllers are made specifically for windows now. Just go to amazon or newegg and look up PC controllers.

It's not that difficult to get them working. Just install the drivers, then assign the keys to what makes you the most comfortable. It has a default layout for most games, some customers say that it's less than optimal but easily reprogrammable.
