And I am still bummed out that it looks no different from all the "First Person/No-Combat" Amnesia clones that flooded the internet.
This game looks like its trying to hard to get noticed by Pewds and Markiplier
I hope that these style levels are flashbacks/tapes found by the main character who can actually do shit, kind of like the Ashley missions from RE4. It's early days but the main monster being a creepy woman with a lamp is not exactly horror inducing either.Samtemdo8 said:

to be honest. it might be only RE game that will be actually horror that they market it yet end up action game. and only one which may doesnot have bad camera control.Ezekiel said:Resident Evil is dead. Capcom gave up after a decade of failure and slapped the Resident Evil name on a generic first-person walking and hiding game. Switching to first-person isn't progress.
Why do devs keep using chromatic aberration? They're always trying to make you think there's a screen between you and the world instead of immersing you as if you were there with your own eyes. Stop trying to make shitty movies.
Well Rockstar already ruined Max payne 3. so remedy first person one cant be worse.Ezekiel said:I wonder how you'd feel if Remedy decided to do their own Max Payne 3 but in first person.B-Cell said:to be honest. it might be only RE game that will be actually horror that they market it yet end up action game. and only one which may doesnot have bad camera control.Ezekiel said:Resident Evil is dead. P.T. Ripped off the Scary Woman from this gameCasual Shinji said:Oh wow, scary woman in our face jump scare... Gee, how totally NOT like P.T.
I can't wait to play this and spend 90% of my time running and hiding from the scary person.
The scary woman is pretty much public domain ever since Ring.Samtemdo8 said:P.T. Ripped off the Scary Woman from this gameCasual Shinji said:Oh wow, scary woman in our face jump scare... Gee, how totally NOT like P.T.

I highly doubt RE needs pewds or Markiplier to get noticed.Samtemdo8 said:

Condemned was more chaotic. Yeah there was a bit of stealth and creeping around in the dark, but it was more anticipation of when to turn and split someone's head open, or block an incoming golf club, rather than simply when to run or crouch and hide. Though I, too am getting the vibe of the old "condemned" buildings and lighting with insane people lingering around, if that's what you were getting at.Johnny Novgorod said:I'm getting a Condemned vibe more than anything else.
Except that this looks like the umpteenth first-person indie horror, just with the Resident Evil name plastered on it. Instead of trying to come up with something fresh to reinvigorate this franchise Capcom simply looked at what was popular at the moment and said 'Okay, let's take that and make into the next Resi.'Fox12 said:It looks fine. It's not as good looking as the first three games, but it's head and shoulder above the abortions that were RE 5 and 6. People have been clamoring for a survival horror game for a while. They should be happy.
