This trailer, to me, seems a bit rushed. While not bad in the strictest terms, some of the animations outside of the fight scenes, and even some within the fight scenes, seemed a bit stiff and unnatural. Lip synching was a bit off. Not horribly, but enough to look weird whenever characters were talking. Which brings me to my first point: the voice acting. While there has been much worse VA in past media (*coughresidentevilcough*), it wasn't exceptionally good here, either. The characters did a lot of "oversaying" their lines, if that makes sense. Though, conveniently enough, Blake's "Don't be so dramatic" came off pretty naturally.
The ending is another minor complaint I have. It seemed to go by mostly without explanation. It was all-but-obvious that Blake cut off the car because of her partner's lack of empathy for the train's crew, but it was pretty underwhelming. I think it's because there was nothing that developed before the robot attacked. There was obviously a conflict between the two characters, but it wasn't fleshed out at all. It was the perfect opportunity for character development, It leaves too much unsaid. Was it completely out of character for this guy not to care for other people? Or was it perhaps the final straw after a long time of him having this attitude? Maybe they had a deal that Blake would co-operate with the raid only if no one was harmed? The lack of closure took a lot of weight away from Blake's actions at the end of the trailer.
Despite everything I just said, I'm still tempted to like this trailer. I've liked the others so far, and it's good that they're trying some different ways to show some more character in these trailers. It's definitely not my favourite, though. And I sincerely hope there's some better voice acting once the show gets up and running for real or it might just put me off the whole series.
