From Tim Schafer, the man behind Psychonauts and other good games:

-- link redacted, after reading this on the Double Fine site: "Posting a leak ... on our forums, or even promoting someone else's leak, puts us in violation of our publishing contract and could get us in big trouble."

Anyway, there's leaks about the game out there, and it looks awesome in a way that actually defines the Platonic ideal of awesomeness.

Yeah, the text ends up doing the classic game journalist overview in that they give away what you do in so much of the beginning. Nonetheless, I imagine there's plenty more than revealed. I am super excited about this game.

Unfortunately, no mention of Iron Maiden. :(

Even if only to make up for not picking up Psychonauts when it was first released, I'll definitely pick this one up on launch day. Not to mention that it looks cool in its own right ;)

This looks a lot more marketable than Psychonauts. Newcomers will think it's like Metalocalypse meets Tenacious D (and that doesn't seem too far off) and old LucasArts fans will think it's unfinished business with Full Throttle.

Plus, Sierra's behind it, rather than Microsoft handing it off to Majesco. Yay World of Warcraft moneys!

Yeah. Tim Schafer is an instant sell for me. Jack Black is just gravy. After that, I only hope it's good.

old thread to bring up and now kill off. Since most of us have seemed to agree that the game was a huge letdown. Music was great, writing was funny, and it actually did look neat, but the RTS aspect just killed it for a lot of us.

I... I really liked it. I'm an RTS enthusiast, but I just didn't see it as much of an RTS. I enjoyed the Non-Stage battle parts, and liked all the units you could use to colourfully take down other stages. I find the multiplayer fun too.

I love the idea that someone hates the RTS part of Brutal Legend so much that they had to find every forum thread about the game on the whole internet and stamp it with an authoritative message of disapproval.
