I'm honestly a bit surprised that nobody posted this here yet.

Anyway... As the title says, The sequel to "Nexus: the Jupiter Incident" is finally officially on the way! [http://www.mwent.hu/news/nexus-jupiter-incident-sequel-making] There is a catch however: there's no funding yet. Fortunately, thats not a problem anymore in this age of internet and fans: the game is crowd-funded on games-plant.com, [http://www.games-plant.com/nexus2] where fans can pledge funds to the game. They still have a long way to go, but that might be partially because as far as I know, no big new sites have reported on this (yet), so almost nobody knows about it yet.

The first Nexus was a very good game and I've always found it a shame that no sequel was ever made, especially after the impressive concept trailer [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLoteLwMhxg] was released, and I suspect I'm not the only one who thinks that way. I really hope that this will work out, since there are way too few good space combat games.

Glad to see there's still room for space RTS'es of this type. Much prefer Homeworld 3 to be honest.

The only thing I can hope is that Nexus 2 won't be so blatantly European this time around. Though, if the gameplay lives up to the trailer it won't be so bad.

89 k euros and 66 days to go, quite impressive but I'm afraid they won't get enough to make the game. Really sad since Nexus: The Jupiter Incident was really really good, second only to Homeworld games.

I'll be happy to help out in what little ways possible, though this being the christmas season I've tragically little in the ways of spare change these days.

Loved the concept for the first game and have a copy of it on my shelf next to me. Sort of a semi-rts semi-simulator game where you took control over a large battleship of sorts and proceeded to duke it out ye olden naval battle style.

Campaign got a little overwhelming in the later parts when you controlled a whole slew of ships, I'd have preferred if it stuck to a smaller number of ships but with more options. But that's just me! Good concept trailer as well, I liked the shield effect and the neat whip-like nature of the lazer canon thing.
