No Romans? Then who the heck is Trajan leading? What surprises me is no Mongols.gyrobot said:I like to see them deviate from the three great unifiers for once. Also sad to see no Roman civ. Always my first choice.Saelune said:Most people don't even play as half of them. I'm an achievement whore, so I went and won as every single Civ, and getting through just the base ones took quite awhile, even when playing short games.Meiam said:That low? Then I guess its par for the tour, damn base civ 5 was long ago.Saelune said:Theres atleast 19 there. Civ V base had 18.Meiam said:With less than two month to go... who cares? It's really not that big a deal. Personally the only shocking things is that there seems to be very few civ so either there not all in this build or there going to sell a lot of civ as DLC.
I just don't like how...random some of these seem. I get that they want variety and stuff...but I like when they make sense. Not every civilization dealt at a "world" level. Certainly not a fan of Japan's leader. I say stick with the 3 Lords, Oda, Toyotomi, and Tokugawa. Toyotomi more, cause he actually tried to invade outside Japan.
Well its about choice, you don't have to play all of them, but you want quite a few o fit the play style you like and for that you need many.Saelune said:Most people don't even play as half of them. Wrong person, Mr Wayne. I've given some context at the bottom of the original post.RaikuFA said:You could've said this in your first post instead of trying to act like The Riddler.EternallyBored said:It's a list of all the civs in the game at the moment, the mistake being talked about is that Firaxis likely didn't mean to show that screen during the stream.Tayh said:So, what the fuck are we looking for/at?
Could you at least give a hint or some context?
So yeah, that seems to be it, Firaxis possibly screwed up and leaked their civ/leader list earlier than intended.
Note to self, don't post when half tired.EternallyBored said:We have the same default avatar, but I'm not Rangaman, unless you aren't talking directly to me with that quote, then nevermind.RaikuFA said:You could've said this in your first post instead of trying to act like The Riddler.EternallyBored said:It's a list of all the civs in the game at the moment, the mistake being talked about is that Firaxis likely didn't mean to show that screen during the stream.Tayh said:So, what the fuck are we looking for/at?

Still, the OP did link to an article that explains whats going on in his first reply, that's when I realized what the OP was talking about. The original post is still really vague though, so I'll give you that.
So a military leader from Japan who can't get past Korea when trying to conquer THE WORLD...is pretty close in your book?Hideyoshi actually tried to conquer the world. Sure, he didn't get past Korea, but he got pretty close.
The Aztecs are technically not part of the base game this time around, same with Babylon back in Civ V days. They both launched with 18 Civs and a bonus one.Saelune said:Theres atleast 19 there. Insofar as we've been able to play the Sumerians since 2003, probably.Ushiromiya Battler said:Am I really the only hyped for being able to play Scythians and Sumerians?
That's awesome!
