With less than two month to go... who cares? It's really not that big a deal. Personally the only shocking things is that there seems to be very few civ so either there not all in this build or there going to sell a lot of civ as DLC.
Theres atleast 19 there. Civ V base had 18.
That low? Then I guess its par for the tour, damn base civ 5 was long ago.
Most people don't even play as half of them. I'm an achievement whore, so I went and won as every single Civ, and getting through just the base ones took quite awhile, even when playing short games.

I just don't like how...random some of these seem. I get that they want variety and stuff...but I like when they make sense. Not every civilization dealt at a "world" level. Certainly not a fan of Japan's leader. I say stick with the 3 Lords, Oda, Toyotomi, and Tokugawa. Toyotomi more, cause he actually tried to invade outside Japan.
I like to see them deviate from the three great unifiers for once. Also sad to see no Roman civ. Always my first choice.
No Romans? Then who the heck is Trajan leading? What surprises me is no Mongols.

Well its about choice, you don't have to play all of them, but you want quite a few o fit the play style you like and for that you need many.

For Japan, it's a bit of a strange choice true, maybe they tried to go with little know for educational purpose. I mean the guy could use it, just compare his wikipedia page to any other leader and it's pretty clear who's well known.

As far as roman, pretty sure Trajan is going to be the guy (good choice imo) unless there's another Trajan from history

So, what the fuck are we looking for/at?
Could you at least give a hint or some context?
It's a list of all the civs in the game at the moment, the mistake being talked about is that Firaxis likely didn't mean to show that screen during the stream.

So yeah, that seems to be it, Firaxis possibly screwed up and leaked their civ/leader list earlier than intended.
You could've said this in your first post instead of trying to act like The Riddler.
Wrong person, Mr Wayne. I've given some context at the bottom of the original post.

We have the same default avatar, but I'm not Rangaman, unless you aren't talking directly to me with that quote, then nevermind.

Still, the OP did link to an article that explains whats going on in his first reply, that's when I realized what the OP was talking about. The original post is still really vague though, so I'll give you that.
Note to self, don't post when half tired.

I'm also very sorry about it.

Hideyoshi actually tried to conquer the world. Sure, he didn't get past Korea, but he got pretty close.
So a military leader from Japan who can't get past Korea when trying to conquer THE WORLD...is pretty close in your book?

...seems legit.

Kind of surprised we're getting Norway/the Norse before we get Persia/the Ottomans/the Mongols/any SE Asian Civ to be honest.

I'm the first one to defend the game when accusations of eurocentrism are thrown at it, but this is quite bad.

The Aztecs are technically not part of the base game this time around, same with Babylon back in Civ V days. They both launched with 18 Civs and a bonus one.

We have confirmation that Gorgo will be an alternative leader for Greece too, and will not represent Sparta specifically.

Hey, they got Theodore Roosevelt on that list! Awesome! If I didn't find Civ 5 to be boring and not as good as CKII, I would totally get Civ 6 just to play as my favorite President of all time.

Still, I really doubt this "leak" was an accident, and if it was, then it's kind of hard for them to have hidden it at all considering this was on a livestream for their own game. I mean, you can try to avoid showing off a main feature of the game, but that would be pretty damn hard to do. It'd be like Shigeru Miyamoto not shaking the Wii Mote when revealing Super Mario Galaxy back in 2007, it's just stupid.

Am I really the only hyped for being able to play Scythians and Sumerians?
That's awesome!
Insofar as we've been able to play the Sumerians since 2003, probably.
