We had a 'most sadistic thing you've done' version... now it's time to tell me stories about opposite behavior.

About rainbows, ponies, laugh and lots and lots of 'wuv'.

Myself?

During my time playing WoW as a healer/tank I didn't do anything particular special... just lots and lots of dungeon runs when tanks and healers were at a record low on the server I played. They even offered me money at some point, but I refused.

WoWs community can be one of the most dickish in the world... but I still remember some of the kinder players. :p

You? :D

On several occasions I've shared a rather large chunk of wealth to my friends on Forza. Sometimes I help them out with some free cars too. But if you work at that game neither of those things are really hard to come by. Such acts are common. The Forza community are a really cool bunch of people.

Well, generally I will allow the lowest ranked player (still alive at least) to defuse the bomb in Search and Destroy (CoD). They need the experience points.

My other thing I do is either the nicest thing I could do or the worst possible thing I could do to you depending on how you view it...

In FIFA, if I am winning a match by 3 goals, I will purposefully not score again (unless they get one in). I will continue to make the plays and will usually get a wide open net at times but I will bring the ball to the net and then kick it out of bounds. This is either nice because I'm not running the board on you or you hate me because it's patronizing.

Benevolent Black Phantom in Demon's Souls, where you invade someone, kill all the bad guys since they don't attack you at all, and then let the other player kill you. It's pretty fun, if you can get avoid the other player attacking you long enough to let them know what you're doing.

In Ragnarok Online I'd run around the newbie areas with my knight giving everyone like 10,000 zeny.

Way back in the D2 days, I would constantly off load magic items and gold in new players worlds. Some times I would make it a game of hide and seek, or hot/cold. Another fun one is a trail of treasure from town. Fun times there.

I also frequently play support roles, medic in TF2, healer in mmo's, now im trying to learn HoF in Tribes... harder than it looks.

If I have the time, I try to do some coaching in SC2 as well. I can't stand playing some custom games and seeing "boot x hes new", how do you expect them to learn? If hes new and wont listen or communicate or attempt to learn, thats different.

When I played Rock Band 2 I was always the one person to give up STAR power and save people. I just felt generous and thought they deserved a second try really.

Also In Halo Reach helping people in Living Dead and such.

Back in my wow days. May of been a raid or a standard instance cant remember. But there was a party member who was after the same loot i was after. It droped but i let him/her have it due to the fact he's/her existing weapon was alot worse then the one i was using. Since this person had a greater need for the drop i let him/her have it.

Worked out well overall because that person then geared up and shit got done. Lets just say the player repayed the favour several times over.

Simple acts of Kindness like that is why i played. Yeah there were idoits but find the kind players and more level headed players and it was good times.

Also played as medic alot in killing floor. Enhanced armour and run speed to shield other players from an enraged fleshpound leaves a satisfied feeling. Also you heal...goes without saying :)

TF2, often times people trade me for an item, don't have anything to give me that I want, so I give it to them for free. For me it's nothing, since I already have eight Homewreckers and don't need more Crates.

Whenever i'm in a good mood in my League of Legends sessions I tend to go out of my way to ensure that I save that one guy who overextends during team fights and starts to get his shit ruined. The "OMG THX" in chat is basically the only reason I play support... Probabaly a bit unhealthy really XP

Lulu is amazing at this kind of stuff. Her Ult just gives a fuckton of health to someone and knocks up and slows anyone around the guy you target. They can't do shit about it either, y'know the healing reduction status (i.e. Ignite) doesn't affect Lulu's Ult since it just stacks X health on top of how ever much they had at the time, you can even overheal someone's max health!

Friendly Miss Fortune fucked up a tower dive? Up we go! Karthus going for the cheap as hell Ult on the low health guy? Tremendo!

It makes her pretty much ungankable during the laning stage (within reason of course) wait for them to get close, Ult, Whimsy for the polymorph or speedhack, Glitterlance for the slow, throw Pix on yourself for the shield and just run back to your tower with ease.

Alternatively you could just press the Flash button. Just saiyan

Late game with my two cooldown reduction items (boots and Evil Tome) you've got get out of fuck up free cards being handed out every 30 or so seconds. That's just hilarious

Also playing Sona is just Nice Guy Mode activate. Continuously healing during the lane stage at the start just negates all harass entirely and her Ult is epic during team fights. It can be a five man stun for 2 seconds if you aim it well, the team would have to be legendarily thick to fuck that near free Ace up XP

I often play medic-y classes. I really liked the medic class in Battlefield 2, as I both got to do some decent damage (and self-defence for a change) as well as zapping my colleagues back up. Just felt so nice to come charging to the rescue where something had gone horribly wrong, zap up everyone lounging around and turning the tide.

There is one thing, though. Not very sure if it wasn't just a rather skilled troll, but I may or may not talked someone out of self-harm once on WoW...

I was playing L4D and this dude was just being a huge dick. Eventually, he tells his friend to kick the fourth because he screwed up once. He called him a fag or something, can't remember. Anyway, I got to the vote to kick screen first, and elected to kick his pal. He hit YES without looking first, so I made him kick is friend. Then I called him an asshat and laughed as he left.

I met one of my best friends on online play. Does that count as nice..

I try to not be a prick, or stop the prick, when playing online. I try to be generous on MMORPGs?

I gave some annoying prick food and water in Day Z the other day, purely out of the fact that he kept moaning in chat. He carried on moaning afterwards though, so I wish I'd put a bullet in his skull.

Playing Dark Souls with a friend in the forest, after a while we are invaded, since that place is a bit confusing we waited for the guy to come to us.

After a long time we see him coming down a mountain, we wave at him and he waves back, I was the host and when we all got together for the fight he pointed to the side. I looked at my friend and told him that this was going to be a 1 on 1 fight so he stayed back and watched. All of us bowed (the proper one, not the crappy) and then we fought like gentlemen.

Not bad considering the game

This every time.

I'm a very generous Left 4 Dead player as well (to a point). If a teammate of mine is in the red, bleeding out and black and white, I'll heal them IF THEY HAVE PROVEN TO BE A COMPETENT PLAYER. I can't stress that enough.

Also in fighting games, UMvC3 primarily, I'll send everyone that wasn't being a douche a GGs message, because with all of the negativity and inflated egos that populate the FGC, I like to try to show that there can be nice people out there. Unless you teabag me, then so help me god, I will NOT send you a GGs message. That'll show him :D

Same here. I have crates and I've been very lucky with hat drops; my duplicates so far are the Pyro's "Brain Slug" and the Heavy's "Jayne's Hat" out of nearly a full page's worth of hats.

I even bought a gifts-for-giving packet once (the upto24 version) and just used it on a server once it hit over 24 players. And that was before the Gift Heart detail item came out.

In City of Heroes I also do flyby healing, buffing, bring friends along for some PLing if they get stuck and even give away some of the valuable salvage that goes for millions of inf on the in-game auction house.

One of the nicest things that happened to me was a long while ago during a Halo 2 1-flag CTF match on Coagulation. The team I was on started loosing; failing to defend and not being able to get the flag in the first round so by the end match where our team had to get the flag and there was me and another guy who quickly dropped out. I was left alone to try and get the flag from the other base. So I tried, got all the way over and nearly haflway back via teleporting when I saw them all rushing over. I thought I was about to get crushed but they brought up a warthog, honked the horn and said 'get in' and they drove me to my base and let me capture the last flag of the match. Post-match; they said they'd done it because I'd been a good sport by sticking around to finish rather than dropping out.

In CSS pub games, I used to team flash my team constantly to give the other team a leg up, which they would obviously need with me going against them.
