Ninja Gaiden 2 Question

Hey, just got a little question on NG2, seeing as this isn't explained in the game;

When absorbing Yellow Essence for the Ultimate Technique, is that Yellow Essence immediately used up exclusively for the Ultimate Technique or is it still saved for Muramasa's Shop or, at least, halved?

I believe it's saved. I could be mistaken though as I haven't played it in months.

I don't think it's recorded as added money, I think it's sacrificed to speed up the UT.

You know what, I'm going to have to actually do a trial and error test myself when I get home tonight, because I want to be really certain.

The reason it matters so much is because there's a combo I saw in a trailer where Ryu lifts an enemy into the air, cuts every limb off, then the head, finally bringing the enemy down. This was obviously the first combo I wanted to do when I got the game and then I realized that the Dragon Sword probably needed to be on a pretty high level, so I surmised that I would focus all the Yellow Essence I earned on leveling up the Dragon Sword, even if it means avoiding using the Ultimate Technique with any Essence - I just want to be certain.

Yes it is saved I think but remember when your playing the game you only get yellow essence from Obliteration Kills and Ultimate technique kills just saying in case you didn't know as it is useful to know later on in the game as I forgot about that and took me awhile to refigure it out.

Sorry you have to wait for the end of the game for that combo because it sounds like the UT that you use when you have the True Dragon Sword not sure though.

No, it is not. The essence is consumed to charge the UT. This is why when you absorb a red/blue essence you do not recover health or ninpo.

However, the amount of yellow essence generated from the UT kill is a lot more, due to the risk involved and the consumption of said yellow essence.
