I just bought a used Nintendo 64 from the local market here in York, England, and I bought 4 games along with it : Mario Kart 64, FIFA 64, Goldeneye and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
The games I really wanted, were Perfect Dark ,Mario Party and Legend Of Zelda:Ocarina of Time. The guy at the market told med that he would try and track down a cartridge of Perfect Dark for me till Wednesday.

Just out of curiosity, I checked the web to try and find more games for my new/old Nintendo 64.
I found all the games I wanted, but the prices, even at Ebay, were outragous!!
I'm not paying £19 for a used, out-of-date game for the Nintendo 64. I just bought it to have some nostalgic fun while I am attending school in York.

It is obvious that retro gaming is as popular as ever, and consoles and games for the older systems are highly priced. Do any of you know any kind of retro gaming website or retro gaming stores around England where I can by/trade games at a decent price?

These are the games I want :
-Resident Evil 2
-Legend Of zelda: Ocarina of Time
-Mario Party 64
-Perfect Dark
-Expansion Pak (RAM)

Good luck with finding cheap prices for Mario Party and Ocarina of Time..they're very hard to come by and even if you do find them they're overly expensive.

The guy at York charges 3 quid pr game, and thats pretty decent. The guy at the pawn shop usually takes around 3 to 5 quid (£3-£5). I bought the whole machine, a game included, three controllers for £20. I thought that was a fair deal. I'll probably sell it back to him when I leave for Norway.

It's gonna be quite a task to track a few of them for a reasonable price I think.

But hey, I'd gladly pay 20-40$ for Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64!

Also remember you need that Expansion Pack for the N64 in order to play the single player of Perfect Dark

Yeah, if you look at the first thread, I have mentioned it last.

I know this guy at the market buys a lot of games of a store in Scarborough, and he buys from people around England. I'll meet him on Wednesday and talk some more to him.

Ebay is too expensive (what I'VE discovered). I don't want to pay more than £10 for a game for the old Nintendo 64.
I used to own 'em, but then I sold 'em. Should've kept em...
Thanks for your help. Keep giving me tips :)

I could find most of that stuff on ebay for around $20 USD. Like the Expansion Pack [http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-64-N64-Game-System-Expansion-Pack-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ300411376259QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item45f1e9d283] should be a cinch on ebay.

Maybe not OoT or the first Mario party, but generally only the really popular shit pushes over that $20 bench mark.

My guess is that even if you find a retro gaming store, you'll pay considerably for OoT and Perfect Dark. There's just a lot of collectors out there, myself included.

If you want to get OoT for cheap, look for auctions on ebay, and lower your standards of who you buy from. Like this example. [http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Legend-of-Zelda-Ocarina-of-Time-Nintendo-64_W0QQitemZ110510639259QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item19baf2889b] Might be able to get a steal there. Or, you might get stolen from. Haha.

No, they're appropriately expensive. Supply and demand, baby!

You might be lucky with OOT by posting on these forums. I was about to offer you my copy and expansion pak (I don't have the other games) then realised the versions I had for the GC are useless since a housemate stole my GC.

If you can get a GC though, I'm sure lots of people have spare copies of that version. I remember a disc which had 4-5 different Zelda games on it.

*sigh* To be honest, my GC might have been stolen by now too since I haven't been home for months and my mother is overly generous with gifting younger cousins with my stuff.

I recently got back into playing N64. Mostly finishing games I started as a kid. Haven't checked the Ebay prices for those games, but hopefully the games I want to get aren't outrageously priced. All I can say is to keep looking until you find a decent price for those games.
