We all know at this point what the "No Russian" mission is, so I feel I wont need to explain it. (The airport mission, for those who dont know.) Now, people have been saying "Its so offensive! This game should be banned! How can they just have a level of butchering unarmed civilians?!" Well, why do they have a problem with this level alone? Why is this level getting so much hate? What about GTA4 (or any GTA/Saints Row, for that case) where you can just walk the streets with automatic weapons mowing down civilians? Or, walking into a hospital, killing everyone, then using said hospital as a refuge to hold out against police enforcment? Hell, the games selling points are sandbox gameplay where you can drive cars on the sidewalk to see how many dead civilians you can jam in your fender at once.

I guess what Im saying is, why is everyone so offended by this level? Other games are guilty of much worse than this.

EDIT: Umm, yes, Yahtzee's review got me thinking about it, so I wanted to see what everyone else thought. Not sure why everyone is being so hostile about it. Im not intending to pass his ideas off as mine or something, just trying to get some seperate opinons.

Hell, the games selling points are sandbox gameplay where you can drive cars on the sidewalk to see how many dead civilians you can jam in your fender at once.

Reminds me of Mafia, where (in the times I sucked at driving with a keyboard) I just drove on the sidewalkes to prevent myself from crashing into other cars and destroying my own car.

Well it's a topic that hits a little harder to some people. Partaking in a act of terror even if we are trying to fight terrorism. Sure a lot of games have you kill innocents, but it's why or how you kill them is what's making this a big deal

For some strange reason, I think you're trying to bump this so you can get a badge, by using a "Popular" (Aka, beaten to death with a base ball bat.) and or trying to troll/get badges.

There is no real offensive thing about it, go play FarCry 2, and THEN you'll feel offended and sick inside.
