Hello everyone (again)!

So, I recently attempted a Steam giveaway to bribe convince you all to welcome me into the community. Needless to say, that attempt was largely unsuccessful (due in part to the fact that all I had to offer were guest passes). Now my best friend taught me that the only way to fail is to stop trying, so I shall try again!

This time, I have this to offer: I will purchase, for one lucky Escapist member, $25 (that includes tax, so more like $22ish) in Steam games of his/her choosing. This can be broken down into multiple cheap games, or one relatively spendy game. Whatever you choose, if you win, is what I will purchase for you.

THE CATCH (because nothing in life is ever truly free):
In order to be selected as the One Freeman winner, you need to write (in a post on this thread so I can say I created and encouraged discussion) a solid argument persuading me to choose you. Also, be sure to include what games you want, and for the sake of content justify those selections as well.

I will be choosing the lucky winner in a little under 23 hours from the time of this post (At 00:00 on 13 April, 2013, my time - YES, Friday the 13th). Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favour!

Love,
Nick

Well, I'm the first guy to post, so that should be reason enough!
In all seriousness though, I'd say pick me for the discussion value I can bring to any topic pertaining to Science Fiction, with Star Wars and Star Trek in particular. Likewise with RPGS, I can offer you recommendations, mods, and direct you to interesting commentaries by the Something Awful LP Archive.

Also, because my avatar is appropriate for any thread in which idiotic things are stated. It's hypnotic.

But in all seriousness, I'll offer my two cents on most games (provided I've played them of course), and I like to think that I'm a rather decent guy on these boards. (I'd like to think anyways, forget the fact that I'm wheedling for a gift coupon. I'm in school and I'm on a budget, so I take what I can get.)

What I'd like is Skyrim: Dragonborn. Like I siad, I'm a big fan of RPGs, and keeping up with the DLC also allows me to keep up with the modding scene for Skyrim. And I'll give you two recommendations right now: Immersive Armors [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19733], and Jaysus Swords [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1002].

You don't have to bribe us to be accepted. You just have to be remarkably goodlooking and witty, like me. Also, a doctor*.

Pick me because I never win anything. It would be a nice change for me. A sign of better things to come.

And if you do pick me, I'd like to have Counter Strike-Complete.

At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking i could never win , no matter how hard i tried
But then i spent so many nights, thinking how i might prevail
And i won't fail
I'm going to snatch me that Steam Sale

And so I'm back, with this sweet post
and hope that OP spots this and will be impressed the most
I should have picked another song
Something with far more and better catch
But then again there are no lyrics which would might make a match

Go on now, go and please pick me!
Don't turn around now
And ignore the effort that you see
I won't accept another loss or even a close tie
Do you think I'd ignore this?
Do you think I'd turn away and sigh?
OH NO NOT I, I WILL SURVIVE
OH AS LONG AS I KNOW HOW TO BUTCHER SONGS I KNOW I'LL STAY ALIVE
I've got all my wits to give
And free games sure are my motive
And I'll survive
I will survive
HEY HEY

I hope you enjoyed that lil' freakshow of mine and as for the game I'D lik to have CS:GO should i be chosen.

If you really want a grand welcome, you should offer the winner a choice of their game from Origin.

How could we all make stupid, tired, overused jokes about how you never asked for this if you win something you voluntarily entered, though?

OT: Am I automatically entered by posting in this thread? Uh oh... uh... now I need to think of something witty to post.

I fooled you, didn't I? You thought it was going to be a funny picture or silly anecdote. I've bamboozled the lot of you! Muahahaha! Evil genius shrekfan246 triumphs again, and goes on to hold the nation ransom for
[HEADING=2][small]One.[/small][/HEADING]
[HEADING=2]MILLION.[/HEADING]
[HEADING=1]DOLLARS.[/HEADING]

I'm a mastermind.

Oh, and I suppose I could go for Alpha Protocol and, if affordable, Advent Rising.

I've never played Alpha Protocol but always been interested in it, as I love stealth games, third-person shooters, and RPGs. My hope is now that it's been long enough for most of the bugs to have been ironed out, but that fear has put me off of purchasing it myself.

As for Advent Rising, I loved that game back on the Xbox but never played it on the PC. I wonder if the PC version is buggier or more stable... but since I've already played it, that's why it's more of a throwaway extra.

I deserve to win a free game because adding another game to my Steam library would make my gaming backlog even bigger! Ha, how would I possibly play all my games if you go and add another one! [small]My pick would be the AOEII HD remake, if by some chance I am chosen xoxoxo.[/small]

As for the question of whether why I should deserve it or not, It's ultimately based on whether you believe that my answer is worthy for the prize

I am a gamer, I am a very avid gamer, in fact, many of my friends have pointed out that my priorities are actually quite screwed up.

How screwed up my priorities are? you ask, well I'm a hobo, with a laptop, with no budget for the games I actually like, but instead of pawning my laptop and using the money for utilities such as rent money, I'd rather risk living off the streets since I believe that while it gives me access to videogames, I know I'll get off the streets once I finally get the job I've been constantly applying for.

Yes, tl;dr I'm a hobo with a laptop who has no budget for games, living on the streets. Giving me the prize is not just an act of generosity, an act of charity, but also a helping hand outstretched to a fellow gamer.

As for the prize, I'd really like a split between Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon($14.99 on Steam) and Evoland($9.99 on Steam) for a grand total of $24.98.

Truth to be told, I have so many games in Steam right now that in reality I will NEVER play all of them [GOD DAMN YOU AWESOME INDIE BUNDLES!!!!] because of my work I have....

But I know this feeling......the feeling being the Master of this game. It was an awesome experience!!!
I once made a Thread to give away a Steam Key of the Game Serious Sam 3......in exchange of dirty pictures of shark women......because I am a f*cking Shark with yellow tattous for eyes, eating toasted ponies for breakfast.

So yeah, good luck with this Thread of your, but remember next time ask for something more weird and wtf request. It is just so much fun!!!!

Stretchin' the definition of goodlooking there, aintcha?

OT: You should pick me because I was one of the people that welcomed you in your original thread. Also, the only game I want on Steam is Bastion, which only costs $15+tax, so you would save yourself 10 bucks by choosing me!

Hello man! I seem to have missed you and your earlier threads. I sincerely, on behalf of the Escapist, welcome you. Just stay out of the basement and blame Kross if anything goes wrong. All the time. ;-)

Anyway. I'm Silent, and I'd like... Morrowind.

Yes. I'd like Morrowind. I'd like to see the Elder Scrolls at its peak, during the time when Bethesda could still be oriented with the PC platform. I've enjoyed the hell out of Skyrim. I've enjoyed Oblivion for the short time I played it. But, I'd like to firsthand feel the experience that Morrowind offers. I'm not looking for the best game this year or last. I'm just looking for something worth sinking my time into. I believe that Morrowind may be that game.

Now why me? Well, I'm a poor guy with a PC with the power of a lemon. Not poor, but my PC is a bit embarrassed that it exists and plays games. Because of that, I'm only looking for a solid experience in a game. I don't care about graphics. I don't care if the game is difficult or easy. I don't care if the plot is retarded. I'm looking for an awesome experience to enjoy, and I see Morrowind as one of the games that I could enjoy.

So there; that's me. I hope to be the lucky chosen one! :-D

Aye, that you were. I still have the guest pass you wanted. If you are interested, it is yours. :D

And thank you for welcoming me initially. But be nice to the doctor over there, even if he is not particularly good looking. :p

Wow, not a lot of people taking part in this offer, so I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring.

Why should you give me the games? Convince sake really. I mean, you already have me on your friends list so there would be none of that awkward back and forth:

"this is my steam ID"
"it's not working, do you have another one?"
"Oh whoops, I spelled it wrong"
"no, still not working, here let me give you mine"
"ok, so there's three guys with this same ID, which one are you?"

anyway, you get the picture.

Also, I'm currently unemployed since finishing college a couple months ago, and can barely afford food much less new video games, and the last of my game money just went to Bioshock Infinite. I'm going to need more things to play while I brood about employers not calling me back.

Anyway, if I win I'd like The Ball and Terraria. Thanks.

I'd actually really like to get Dishonored, but it's a little above your current give away rate ($30 at the moment), so maybe we can make some kind of game trade or something?

I should be chosen because there's no other way I'll play Blood Dragon this year. I decided not to buy games this year because I need to save up money.

If I'm chosen, I would like:

Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon ($14.99).
Evoland ($9.99)

Welcome aboard, sir. Feel free to enjoy the sights and sounds, but stay out of Religion and Politics if you don't like the smells.

I don't have a job and thus don't have much gaming funds beyond when I stumble upon a bundle that is at a price I can stomach and actually has games I want. I thus find myself at home alone with my three dogs fairly often. I feed them and then because I am lazy and because it's fun, I trained them to grab their dishes and bring them to me when they are finished eating. The middle dog is quiet and a bit slow and she doesn't like picking up her dish because it's metal and it feels weird in her mouth and why should she even pick up the dish because she could just go to sleep instead. The youngest one got impatient with my goading of the stubborn middle dog and just tossed her dish right on top of the other dish and brought them in. With a little prodding, I can get her to stack them half the time, and on good days, she'll get a pile of all three dishes and bring them all into the kitchen along with her water bowl. It's awesome and adorable because she's half the size of the other two dogs and she can barely keep the dishes off the ground.

Anyway, as motivation to continue my training, I'd love Stacking (14.99). If it fits, I'd also love The Longest Journey (9.99), though I don't have any justification, it just seems very up my alley. I don't think Steam has tax, but if for some reason it does for you, then just Stacking would be wonderful

I think you should give it to someone else. Now that I've said that, it proves that I'm generous, and therefore are more deserving.

Oh, for the record I don't actually want the games so consider me out of the running. My computer is so incapable as a gaming platform that I can pretty much only run small indie titles, and I already have all that I want (thanks, Humble Indie Bundle). Don't Starve looks nice, but not enough for me to go into the running.
