BUT Its for the first game.

Basically, CHAOS VIKINGS!!!!!

Yes there is a difference between the Chaos Warriors and Norsca, the Chaos Warriors are the ones decked out in Full Plate Armor, and they live even furthur north of Norsca within the Chaos Wastes.

The Norscans are basically the Vikings north of the Empire that worship Chaos and seeks to gain the favor of the Gods.

Confirmed Legendary Lords are Wulfrik the Wanderer (As shown in the Trailer)

And Throgg the Troll King, the only "intellegent" Troll to exist in the Warhammer World:

Also to clarify, they are already available for TWW1.

I honestly fail to see how a faction for a game you might not have is an incentive to pre-purchase this particular game. But it is nice to see more factions. And it's nice that they didn't hold a very important faction for DLC like the original Chaos Warriors debacle.

Eh. Just got done uninstalling TW:WH. A new faction being dangled about as pre-order bait isn't going to entice me back.

Ok, now I'm getting pissed. First core Chaos is locked behind paid DLC and now they're trying to squeeze more cash out of us with this? FFS, why isn't Chaos part of the core experience? Why is EVERYTHING Chaos behind some sort of pay wall?

Skaven are confirmed to be the 4th playable faction for the Second Game and are not behind a DLC paywall.

And possibly the 3rd game will have Daemons of Chaos and Chaos Dwarfs as a core faction.

Skaven are not Chaos, and I'm not particularly interested in the 3rd game at the moment. I want to know why the game I actually have in my possession has everything Chaos related behind some kind of paywall. Every single bloody aspect of it, when Chaos should be part of the base experience.

They are gonna combine both campaign maps into one later on so its still a win win

The Skaven are a Faction of Chaos.

The Horned Rat is a Chaos God, he is just independent of the 4 Ruinous Powers.

Same with the Chaos Dwarfs, their God is Hashut and he too is a Chaos God in his own right that is independent.

Basically:

Daemons, Warriors of Chaos, Norsca, Kurgans, Hungs, Beastmen, Chaos Dwarfs, and Skaven are all forces of Chaos.

Not really.

All campaigns go the same way in TWWH (regardless of difficulty setting). You get a few armies of high-tier units and you're unstoppable. That happens about halfway through any given campaign. The latter half is just you slowly grinding your way across the map to fulfill you victory conditions whereupon the game gives a little A Winner Is You message. Then if you want you can keep slogging on to conquer the whole map for no reason at all.

Joining the maps into a mega-map will just extend that final tedious grind.

Regardless I mostly just play in Custom Games and Quest Battles more than I do the Campaign Map.

Why play a Campaign when in Custom Games you can pit whatever armies in whatever numbers and unit types you want and type of battle?

Because Chaos is a MASSIVE faction with MASSIVE unit variety and compose of more factions.

Daemons and Chaos Warriors and I think the Beastmen in the Tabletop were actually one faction until GW seperated them by 7th and 8th edition.

I am just waiting on the Khorne Daemons to be in this game already. I mean fuck even Dawn of War 3 gave us a Bloodthirster.

Dude I am not talking about why there are so many sub-factions for Chaos, I am asking why all of them are behind paywalls. I mean seriously? Three out of four? WHY!? Doubly so when all of them are in a game that's Chaos free otherwise.

That is why they are behind a paywall. There is alot of them. And the fact the Chaos is the most special faction in all of Warhammer than boring old Bretonnia and Vampire Counts.

I do wonder what the price is because the reason Beastmen and Wood Elves were 20 bucks is because of the mini campaigns.

....That's a fucking stupid reason. "There's a lot of them, put them all behind paywalls. I don't care if they're a core part of the experience, we need to earn more money."

Well that is my assumed reason, I have no idea why the Chaos factions are getting the Paywall.

And I seem to notice you making a big deal out of this.

Are you telling me that you won't mind if Tomb Kings, Wood Elves, or Ogre Kingdoms being behind a paywall, but if its a Chaos faction that is a problem?

I think the main villains of the franchise take priority over secondary factions.
I don't know, Dark Elves, Undead, and Greenskins can be just as dangerous.

I mean the Empire of Man was founded by the common enemy against the Greenskins.

Let's just say Warhammer has a lot of Main Villains.

Warhammer 40k technically has Tyranids and Chaos, Orks are just really the amusing sideshow.

This isn't about danger levels. Chaos are THE bad guys of the setting. And they're not in the base game.
