Spoilers will be in this so you have been warned! I'm not complaining about the ending in this thread so don't worry!
I decided to play through all 3 Mass Effects again as I felt I missed a lot out of ME3 without having loaded a saved game: Wrex, Grunt etc......
I'm half way through 2 at the minute, so I'm making this thread to talk about the changes BioWare made and see all of our varying opinions on it. Feel free to add any other changes. This will be relatively old seeing as ME2 was released in 2010.
1) The Mako. Some love it, some hate it and some don't mind it. In ME 1, I found that the Mako made the galaxy feel bigger then it is in ME 2. Something about exploring the planets I enjoyed and I felt it made more sense then just scanning every planet you found. The segments did start to drag for me towards the end but it made me feel more involved with the galaxy and the game. Also on Ilos and Vimire where you are assaulting the geth was brilliant. Fighting a force like the Collectors/Reapers/Geth wouldn't you want a heavy assault tank if your shuttle can't make it through? Did they get a negative opinion of the Mako meaning that the removed it?
2) Why are all the women's breast in all the games massive? I think Miranda is case and point here. Samara as well!
3) Looting/equipment management. I what how they did with the weapons locker but I still think that it would have been better if you could pick up enemy weapons and use/sell them. I would have taken their armour/weapons and sold them to a vendor for a tidy profit. Part of an RPG is selling your loot, isn't it?
4) I personally don't like the mission report at the end of the missions or how it seems to me that you don't get xp for killing enemies and you don't seem able to level up on missions.
5) I miss the old map, I find the one in ME2 confusing.
6) Why did they get rid of the grenades? I found them to be really useful when an enemy wouldn't move from cover.
7) Biotics. This was one of the best improvements I found. Made the powers feel a lot better.
8) The combat flows better in ME2, better cover mechanic.
9) One thing which I hope someone can clear up, why were Cerberus so hell bent on killing you in ME 3 it didn't really make that much sense to me, seeing that you worked for them in ME 2.....
Feel free to add away!
