Just a couple days ago, Obduction, the spiritual successor to Myst made by the same company, finally released. Quietly, admittedly, but that's why I'm making the thread, as I've been a fan of the Myst games for ages, and just wanted to share it.

I only hope that many people won't be looking at it as a "walking simulator", considering it's a puzzle-type game with a fair bit of walking.

Does it get more puzzely with time? An LP of it came on my youtube background while making dinner randomly, and the most puzzle they seemed to get was changing rail switches, which was more an awkward process of getting in and out of the minecart thing then an actual puzzle.

And every time I see this misspelled title is driving me NUTS.
It's "a"! It even says this in the description, "You?ve been abducted".
Why the hell must the title look like "Werr kewl kidz 2 kul fer gramer"?
Actually, "obduction" is also a word.

A geologic process in which the edge of a tectonic plate consisting of oceanic crust is thrust over the edge of an adjacent plate consisting of continental crust. Compare subduction.
Obviously not EXACTLY that but there may be relations aside from a play on words...

"A geologic process in which the edge of a tectonic plate consisting of oceanic crust is thrust over the edge of an adjacent plate consisting of continental crust."

It likely has to do with how you're thrown into a world full of torn sections of other worlds all mashed together. Anyhow, it looks like a really cool game, and I hope it sells well.
