A while ago I brought a copy of Wind Waker, and it came with Ocarina of Time as well. I never got around to playing Ocarina, and I was wondering if it was worth playing now or waiting potentially a year to play the new 3DS version

Why do you have to wait a year for the new 3DS version?

If its a monetary issue, don't worry about it.
The 3DS version is basically for people who live and breathe Zelda, and want to enjoy it in a new light.
Enjoy OoT with the copy you got. Ideally, you want to play it on N64 for the full experience, but the gcube version isn't that bad.

Well, I don't want to hype you, but really, go play that game. The story is ver good, but the gameplay is just wonderful.
It was the best gameplay when it came out, and it has aged very well. But i mont telling you more, just go and play it and hope to not be over-hyped.
