Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee to be released on PS Vita

It would seem that Just Add Water (JAW), are really plugging away to revive the Oddworld series. They previously announced that they would release an HD remake of Stranger's Wrath to the PS3 as well as HD remakes of Munch's Oddysee and Abe's Oddysee, and I would imagine Abe's Exoddus while they are at it. However it is now in their plans to release the Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee remakes at launch of the PS Vita at the Christmas period this year. While the HD remake of Abe's Oddysee is being projected for 2012.

Munch's Oddysee was a terrible, terrible game. I've always wanted to play Stranger's Wrath though... I don't suppose there's any chance of it coming to the Xbox?

They lost themselves ALOT of steam when they went exclusive back in the day. I still have my original copies of the Abe games. I'm afraid it's going to take alot more than this to revive their place in the universe. Getting NOW what they should've delivered THEN isn't much of an apology.

Stranger's Wrath was fun. I remember the game quite fondly. I guess I have a little more reason to pick up a PSV over a 3DS now.

No, its too big. The game cannot be cut down any further, and remains over Microsofts size limits for a downloadable game.

... but that doesn't make any sense. Wasn't it an Xbox original game? What's stopping them from releasing that? Quite frankly I don't give a damn about HD textures, and if they're the only thing stopping the game from being released then I'm going to be more than a little pissed off.

Backwards compatibility, with an Xbox game.

I meant that it isn't compatible on the 360, and it would be really, really kind of Microsoft to throw that in when the PS3/Vita version comes out.

Because Microsoft have stopped the process to allow new games to be put under the Xbox classics, and XBLA games have the restrictions on size.

Aaaanndd... now I feel like punching Bill Gates. Or punching anyone, really. In fact if the rules on this forum weren't so strict, this post would likely be very different.

Wait, what? I thought the BC with physical Xbox games was complete with the 360. Was I misinformed?

I may be the one who's misinformed, actually. I don't keep up the the BC list, but last time I popped in SW (sometime last year) It wouldn't play.

My captcha appears to be a picture of a bow tie. Interesting...

Edit: A quick Googling shows that O: SW is not actually BC on the 360. Only Munch's Odyssey.
