We have all had that moment when something happens that makes you go oh hell no
what are some of yours?

being someone suffering from a mental illness i tend to hallucinate and the last big one i had was a visual hallucination which was an armchair sized spider which prompted a very annoyed "fuck no"

They made a movie about Battleship. Why is this such a surprise.
well battleship told the story of brave explorers, responding to a transmission, who are trappedon a primitive planet and they show restraint as they try and call home and act in self defence vs the barbaric apes

When they make novelizations of movies based off books. There's a novelization series of the Harry Potter movies. No, not a re-print of the original books, an actual version of the movie. So if it wasn't in the movie, it doesn't make the novelization.

That...what?

Hmmm...instead of rebooting a film, maybe they can make a movie of the novelisation?

Most of the ones here have been relatively light-hearted, so I guess I should warn you now that what I'm about to talk about is pretty heavy stuff.

Spec Ops: The Line.

You already know this won't be good.

Let's just say that the game hasn't really begun until the scene with the mortar... That was the beginning of the descent into madness. But it wasn't the worst part.

The worst was finding out that everything I had done had been for nothing. Looking at Colonel Conrad's decomposed remains, I realized that I'd been fighting for a false cause the whole time. Made everything I did completely pointless.

In the end, I decided to lay down my weapons and walk away. But the ghosts of Dubai still haunt me...

Sorry about bringing that up, but, yeah. That game has still got me. Even if I haven't played it in a long time...

The Human Centipede. Just hearing what the movie was about disturbed me deeply. Will I ever watch it? HELL FREAKING NO!

Also 50 Shades of Grey.

id recommend picking up a copy of Killing is Harmless: A Critical Reading of Spec Ops: The Line.. an excerpt is found here https://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/11/read-an-excerpt-from-killing-is-harmless-a-book-sized-reading-of-spec-ops-the-line/

i played the game normally the first time and then read a chapter and then played it and got so much out of it.. well worth chucking a couple of dollars towards the author. its so deep its flooring

Sorry, but I'd rather not give the author anything.

I have my reasons, you understand.

I was watching a tournament of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax but they had the English Dub voices on instead of the Japanese voices.

I haven't clicked away from a video with such disgust in quite a while lol.

Aside from the obvious political and social commentary of late, as it all starts to meld into one huge, ugly fuzzbucket of crushing despair, confusion and physical self-harm in the form of repeated paw-to-face aggression at the best of times...
There are moments when off certain medication that brings a few unpleasant side-effects, physical and mental. The earliest usually tends to be really horrific nightmares that burrow right into the deepest of subconscious fears that waking life consciousness is generally better at keeping under the rug. Like it picks something it knows would have the most effect in fucking me up, then makes up any old shit dream excuses to get to the desired outcome of most optimal fear output, usually with some physical body reactions as the crappy cherry on top. All feel very real, all tend to produce a "hell no" perhaps not that surprisingly.

One recent in memory was really kinda different though. To be as brief as poss, something to do with an unavoidable cataclysmic event happening on our Earth, most of everyone is dead, I dunno, something weird to do with gravitational rips or something, it's difficult to take notes during these states. The point was that the only way out of this is me being shrunk to the size of an atom or quark, basically smaller than small, then being shot into some black hole to initiate whatever the fuck reaction to cause a re-creation of the universe somehow by spinning at speeds beyond human comprehension and completing some sort of..task, yet again, didn't note it down at the time. Oh and it was vital that there were only seconds for me to decide before the last of humanity is gone. Obviously I felt it best to avoid destruction of everything we know.

The reasons aren't really that important, as long as the brain got to pretend it knows what that following situation would feel like to the mind and body, and it decided that it would be extremely disturbing, deliriously inexplicable and lasted maybe a couple of seconds before waking up in cold sweat, heart palpitations and nausea. Was like my brain was being sucked into a blender inside a washing machine undderwater as it fights its' final slipping of conscious thoughts. Had k-holes more manageable than that.

Every time my bus leaves a few minutes early and I can see it drive away.
Leaving me to wait an hour for the next one.
Especially aggravating since I have to walk 5km to the nearest bus stop.

IMDb boards closing down and being deleted..

Gamers not only falling for but fully embracing the subscription-based rental system of today's digital distribution model of Online Activation which will render their fondest memories lost to history.

Oh, and the subtle and insidious long-term brainwashing of my generation and the next by extremist leftists and the subsequent rise of the Authoritarian Regressives.

Boggles the mind really..
