Final Fantasy 3 on SNES (yeah 6) and I had finally gotten to the end and you're forced to use your imagination to think about what these characters are portrayed as, Kefka, this ruling jerk who looks a little silly in green suddenly becomes this massive artistic being...

To me, that's how the art in the game was and how many of the bosses were. Thus, it doesn't reall snap it for me. (Doesn't help that I started out on FF7 and went back out of curiosity. Worth it, but still not a 'snap' moment.)

Well, there was one moment that caught me off-guard.

In the Legend of the Dragoons, there were several sudden surprises. Rose turned out to be the Black Monster(even though the game hinted at it several times through) and Dart's farther, Zieg, was a puppet behind the plot to bring back Melbu Frahma.

I was playing Oregon Trail, and then I died of Dysentery.

...Okay no really I had Jesus with me, he drowned in the first river. I had some friend over, and we were all like..."Oh shit snap!"

In FF7, when you are chasing Sephiroth, and have to use a Chocobo to run across the desert to avoid the massive worm that would othervise devour your party. At this stage in the game, that worm is unbeatable. So the first time I got to the cave in the desert, I dropped my jaw in awe of what I saw.
The ************ had noy only defeated the bugger by himself, but spiked him on a thirty feet pole. First time playing through, you realized what you were facing.

The only one I can think about at the moment would be from Halo: Reach on the New Alexandria level, The level is set at night, and it's mostly a flying mission but when a covenant cruiser swoops down overhead head and stops above part of the city, then starts charging its weapons and starts to glass the city, all you can see is the background set ablaze, silhouetting the broken burning buildings.

I just love the atmosphere in that game.

Oh! and Dead Space 2. Needles. That is all.

Methinks you've mistaken "Oh crap!" for "Oh snap!" Those are two different concepts; the former is for shock and panic, the other is when someone gets told or is about to get served.

The only time I've ever genuinely exclaimed the latter was during Warriors Orochi.
