In short:
I have a wii and want to run some older games such as gamecube and wiware such as megaman 9 and some wii games that still uses 480i or something. If I plug with component cable, will it work as long as the monitor is also a tv?

The reason I ask is because I have a LG Flatron monitor which shows Out of Range message but still displays the game. I found out that it does not support frequencies that low. I had a chance to test it on Philips Cineos TV at my parents' place and it works no problems. I found one TV that, I think, would suit me:
