Why hello Escapists, it's been a while since i've posted. Now the topic of this post is simple, are there some older games out there you despretly want to play, but for some reason haven't gotten too? if so what are those games.

Personally, i've been meaning to play the original Fallout games, i DID actually get the cahnce to acuire them but sadly i had no money on me at the time.

I need to find Kirby Dreamland one and two. I've always wanted to play those.

Also, a copy of Soul Blade would be nice.

Most of the early Final Fantasies, the original Ogre Battle, Conker's Bad Fur Day...

The list is HUGE!

I HAVE the original Fallout games - haven't got around to playing them though, unfortunately. Since my N64 isn't hooked up, the "older" games I play are usually PS2. I've actually been meaning to give GTA 3 another run-through, or maybe one of the earlier MGS games.

The original Army Men, by that I mean the only good one.

EDIT: I tell a lie, Army Men 3D was great too.

Illusion of time/Gaia and Soul Blazer. Terranigma is the only game i've played from the Soul Blazer trilogy, but it's my favourite RPG of all time.

Deus Ex for sure.

Some of the older Kirby games would be a good bet, too, as would older Mario games (SMB3 and SMW, specifically). Oh, Megaman 2 and 3 are great, too, as is Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask.

It was a PC rts first right?

For my own submission to the thread, the PC game "Temple of Elemental Evil" or whatever it was called. It's a Troika classic and what I consider to be the best DnD to video game translation ever.

I've now included Army Men 3D in that too, and yes it was an RTS first. Then Third Person Shooter.

Soul Blade is a good fighter.
Its not great as its younger siblings, and certainly not the best of its time.
But it is a very solid fighter, and the Weapon Master mode is great fun and will take a long time to complete, (but its also very tough too!).

I myself haven't got round to completing Chrono Trigger, and have barely scratched the surface of Chrono Cross.
Final Fantasy 2, I've never got past the intro, (I just find it dull and cumbersome. I should at least try to give it another shot!).

Haven't played Syberia (or its sequel, which I own on the xbox, but haven't played, as I have another 60 or so xbox games to get through!).

And I must, MUST! get round to completing The Longest Journey. (I must not forget to allocate this Friday to play this game!)

I really want to play some of the older Total War series, particularly Rome: Total War.

I hear its available for the Mac now... yay! I might be able to finally have a go at it :D
