If you had to choose only one game to play for the rest of your life what would it be??

Easy choice would be a game that wouldn't 'end' like animal crossing so I can keep playing it

but I pick orange Box. I can play HL many many times and not get bored, and I still need to do the challenge maps on Portal) and I'd always have a new game of TF2 ready for me.

Am I cheating by picking one with multiple games on it?

Starcraft hands down. There are countless ways to play. I've been playing it since it came out(10 and some odd years) and I'm still not tired of it.

Morrowind GotY with a bunch of the graphical mods on it.
That or Civilization. Any Civilization, except for Revolution which shouldn't even count as a proper Civ game.

I hate to be that guy, but if I could only play 1 videogame for the rest of my life, I'd find a new hobby.

Dead Rising.

The day that I get tired of amassing a plethora of zombie remains on the ground around me is the day I'm tired of living.

Valve Five! *Raises hand.
I was actually thinking of The Orange Box when I saw the name of this thread.

Really depends. I mean, are they going to keep patching it and updating it, or is it going to be the game as it is out of the box for the rest of my life?

It'd probably be a very open game like Fallout 3, but I'd also prefer it to be very carefully made, creative, and fun like Team Fortress 2. That's asking a bit much, though, isn't it?

In any case, I probably WILL be playing Half Life 2 for the rest of my life since I've never played a game I traverse through so slowly. Seriously, by the time Valve releases Episode 4, I'll be starting Episode 1.

EVE online. It's got enough different playstyles to last you a lifetime, and they add more content about twice a year.

I'm not exactly sure, but Fallout 3 would seem like a good choice. I can play single player games for ages, especially if they are RPGs.

Another choice I had in mind would be Warcraft III, however I eventually get bored of it... and I absolutely hate DOTA.

WoW. Haven't ever played it but sure want too. I know enough that I'll be hooked for a long ass time.

Plus it's a very successful MMORPG so there will be updates and always more to do.

Starcraft, or Starcraft 2.

Barring those? WoW.
