One Game You Wish You Played in 2013

So at the end of 2013, I was looking over the games that I played and coming up with my favorite list. At the end of it, I remember looking at other lists to see what people chose and saw numerous games that I didn't play, such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Xcom: Enemy Within.

So that got me to asking, what game did you not play from 2013 that you wish you did? Any game you missed out on? Or if by some miracle you played every game, what was one game you wish you hadn't?

There are still quite a few that I want to play from 2013 since I go to the "cheap-ass gamer" school of not paying $60 for a game. However, the one that I really do want to play that I still haven't would be...

Bioshock Infinite

I've just heard such great things about it. It's gotten many awards for GotY from many sites and a lot of people here threw a hissy fit when it wasn't in the Finals here. I loved Bioshock 1 and am looking forward to picking up this gem.

Eh, I dunno. There were games released in 2013 I haven't played yet that I'd like to, but not really anything so pressing that I wish I had been able to play it last year. If it was, I would've bought it or borrowed from a friend (as I'm currently doing for The Last of Us).

But... I suppose I could say The Wolf Among Us.

Mostly because I don't want to buy into episodic content before it's all released, so having the entire thing out last year would've been awesome as I really enjoyed The Walking Dead and think I'll like TWAU even more because of the general theme and setting.

I don't have a PS3, but I've seen multiple lets plays online so I know the story and what happens. However, I wanna play it myself.

Tales of Xilla 2, but alas I must wait for the English release since my Japanese is limited to anime catchphrases.

Definitely Wolf Among Us for me, I love me some telltale but my wallet has been quite skinny so I can't afford it.

Shin Megami Tensei IV. Unfortunately Atlus hates Australians and Europeans.

I kind of wish I'd played Xenoblade. I mean, I've had it since 2012... why haven't I played this yet? I should have played it by now. It's kind of better I didn't though, as I'm getting a much better gaming HDTV soon. So at least I'll get to play the game on a prettier screen than I would have in 2013 (or in 2012 for that matter).

The Wolf Among Us and the Last of Us: haven't got around to it and don't own a PS3, respectively. I'll try to get into Wolf when exams are over.

The slightly older game I'm gladdest about having played (despite it being from 2012) is FarCry 3. It is a goddamned tasty game, to say the least.

I guess Papers Please, but for the most part, any game that came out last year that I wanted I made certain I got to play it. Granted, finishing is a whole other best, but even so, I've at least played them.

Oh wait, Ride to Hell. I'm dead serious. I want to play this game. It looks horrific. I honestly want to try and play it, do a let's play of it, and invent a whole story for it that makes sense with the gameplay, bugs included. So that means it will be a lot more badass.

The Stanley Parable. Heard a bunch of cool stuff about it but I never got around to playing it myself.

As well as Corpse party and Black rock shooter. EU PSN is so rubbish sometimes!

Same! But with all the DLC announced way before the game was release, I find myself isntead waiting for the GOTY edition.

After reading nothing but praise for it over on Gaf, I wanna try Tearaway. It's a pity it's on the Vita >.> I'll get around to it eventually, and by eventually I mean in a few years.

My biggest gaming regret for this year was probably missing Fire Emblem: Awakening. I considered buying it many times, but it's never on sale and always costs $70, even at the non-EB Games retailers. I think the iOS app store has spoiled me for cheap handheld games.

I also wish I'd been able to play The Last Of Us, but not having a PS3 made it kind of a moot point.

Didn't feel like paying full price for it, though I was really intrested, and now I've gotten so spoiled by bundles/Amazon cheap codes that I can't even bring myself to get a game for £20. Don't know what the current price is on the game though. Been out of stock for quite some time in the store where I get my games.

The latest handheld Zelda looks pretty good, but I really don't care enough about handhelds to buy one. I also wouldn't have minded getting Wind Waker HD, since my Gamecube copy is hanging by a thread. But again, I don't care enough about the system it's on.
