So yeah... at some point, significant portion of planet Earth, or even all of it, has become an Orwellian dictatorship - for one reason or other. Congrats on that.
The point is, you're stuck in this place, and it kinda sucks: it's grey, opressive, and generally not too comfy. And worst of all, trains still don't run on time. But there is one redeeming feature that cancels out all the negative... what is that feature? Just two rules: it cannot be some sort of privelege reserved only for you, and either mandatory or a stylistic element (uniforms, propaganda, etc.) It can, however, be something completely nonsensical. I'd also like to ask you to keep loophole abuse to a minimum - but you're not gonna listen, are you?
For me, the thing that excuses the existence of the bleak Orwellian dystopia would be either:
A) Lombax statues everywhere, for whatever improbable reason, or
B) the country using Hell March (any of them, or any derivation thereof) as a national anthem.
And oh, a preemptive disclaimer: yes Demented Teddy, i know you don't need anything from a fascist state besides it's existence. But this ideological stance is rather uncommon, so i ask people what "nifty little benefit" they'd like to find in such a place. And i've made this thread for laughs anyway.
