Well, I was playing call of duty 4 on Xbox live today and ran into game after game of endless whining little idiots while playing team tactical with a friend, however, one thing really struck me...

When I'm playing with these people I actually have much more fun! I guess I feel much better when killing them than I would killing some guy playing fair, plus it means I enjoy Team fortress 2 and it's higher population of decent people all the more.

So tell me, does anyone else get these pleasures from killing the live-play gamerbase, or am I just a horrible person?

Nah, I always have more fun with friendly groups. I've had mostly good experiences with people on Xbox Live, with notable exceptions of course.

I've only played CoD4 twice online, but one of the games did feel a little hostile. But then I was probably just frustrated by how often I was dying before I saw anyone shoot at me.

I have fun muting people during the match, and then, win or lose, unmuting them, telling them good game, and before they can respond, muting them again. Especially if you play several matches with the same assholes, they start to completely freak out, as is evident by the spastic way the characters start to move. So yeah, I have more fun with the assholes, by being an asshole back (but I'm a bit more subtle). On the other hand, if I play a match or two, and everyone (or most of everyone) is fair, I tend to congratulate them on a good game win or lose, and actually mean it.

I yell at 10 year olds playing M rated games, but thats abou ti... but When I kick some assholes...ass and they throw a hissy-fit it just makes it all the more enjoyable.

I generally avoid Xbox Live unless I'm playing with somebody I know who happens to not be at my house at the time. I'm not 1337 enough to run around killing people who annoy me in Halo or COD, lol. I'm actually dreadful at shooters, so for fear of being insulted to death, I just stay away.

And as far as our little spammer goes, I find the topic he was banned for quite apt. I definitely got a good giggle out of that.

Actually just logged off from playing Call of Duty a few minutes ago, we joined a game with a few of your general 'you suck' 'your mum' idiots. well anyway, we started off playing search and destroy where they quickly went 3-0 up, you can imagine their shouting and mocking for yourself, we came back to win 4-3, and man, that felt good.

The next game we had a simple team slayer and they tried to camp certain areas of the map, I'll tell you one thing it's dam rewarding to kill everyone on their team with one grenade launcher and watch them all leave right after...

Yeah I do like a good game with a few people that use the mic's properly (Tactical talk ect.) but that doesn't mean that i wont verbally tear you apart if you piss me off.

This is why I refuse to play Console Shooters. All of my FPS games are exclusively played on my PC. I reserve the console for the good 'ol RPGs, Puzzle Games, Hack&Slash, etc.
