Soundgarden, how I found out of them? Linkin Park, I am serious. When I still listind to shitty music like Linkin Park I oversaw a tour Linkin Park had, with Chris Cornell there. Seeing the commercial, I fell in love with the mans voice, then realized what I had been listing to was awful. I find it funny to tell the truth.

But um... i was raised on soundgarden, nirvana,live, pearl jam and Faith no more. Hell i was named after a pearl jam song =D
So my taste in music was sorta chosen for me, but i'm not complaining.

Tool is my other favourite and i foudn them just cause aenima was floating around on my mp3

Damn right! Even though it just makes us love the band more and more. Anyway, I actually loved their latest album Backspacer, despite fan backlash against it.

I love the escalation of this song.

Hard to say. I believed that found I found some of my favorite bands like Evanesence and Linkin Park on the radio and TV, and also I became fond of The Dave Matthews Band because they're my dad's favorite band. The only one I know for sure is Gorillaz, whose music videos I first saw on Toonami's Midnight Run back in the 90's.

And yes, I am aware that I have some very unusual tastes.

It's tough to pick a single favorite band, so I'll do a few: I found The Most Serene Republic when I saw them on a list article on Wikipedia (Canadian bands or something like that) and liked their name so decided to check them out, I found Explosions in the Sky when a friend played them while I was driving him around, and I found Portugal. The Man when a friend of mine included them in his selections for the "music exchange project," which is this thing we used to do where we'd all send the host a couple of CDs that we really liked and everyone would go to the host's place, listen to all the music, have a party, and then take a DVD with all of the music on it home.
