Greetings Escapist users!
I've been looking for a few free (preferably GPL) games to use for general education. Target demographic is unimportant, all are welcome. I've seen examples such as TuxType and TuxMath, but beyond that there are not very many options that I have found through surface internet browsing.
I was wondering if any of the members of the Escapist community were aware of the existence of such games.
I would also like to use this thread to discuss the merits of free educational video games and its place in the possible applications throughout all grade levels or fields of study. What do you guys believe is the most important aspect of an educational games, and how would YOU design a game to be both entertaining and educational?
