Hey Escapists, has anyone here seen Insidious? Just wanted to see what other people thought about it, 'cuz my opinion was a little different from most of the others I've heard.
Personally, I thought it was good for about 2 thirds of the way. It was quite mysterious, and exciting. However near the end it started to get really corny, I found. A lot like an 80's horror film. For example, the dead spirit things moaned and walked with their arms extended. And they wore corny outfits. It still managed to creep me out, but it was a little corny.
All the same, there were plenty of good moments. My favourite scare either has to be when the Mother hears the spirit talking into the baby monitor, or when she goes to check on the baby the following night and sees the same spirit standing behind the crib. Also, the part when the vampire guy was walking out on the deck and appears inside, and when the "man with fire on his face" randomly shows up behind the Father. They all made me jump.
But anyways, enough of my ranting. What were your opinions, Escapists?
