Opinions on Project Needlemouse anyone?

I say, as long as it gets Sonic Team's head out of their ***es to make a finally halfway decent sonic game, episodic or not, I'm all for it.

You guys need to remember something; going back to 2D does not automatically make a game good. You still need good level design, something that the Sonic team has failed to create over the past few years. What makes you think they will suddenly get it right?

I think there are two likely outcomes. The first is that the level design is shit and it isn't fun to play at all. People berate Sega once again and vow to never buy another Sonic game. The second is that the level design is decent, but only because they end up copying nearly every part of the old 2D games. So rather than feeling like a new game it feels like a cheap remake. Would please some people but would be an overall disappointment. People berate Sega and vow to never buy another Sonic game.

Underwhelming. Looks bad (in a visual sense). Episodic seems like a stupid move to me. At least it's not a 3D game with how shitty those are, but eeehhh I honestly just don't get a sense of anything from this game. Right down to the visual style it's trying so fucking hard to be sonic 2 or 3 and not its own game. This topic was done like a week ago by the way, search bar is your friend. Also, you can swear on the internet it's all right we won't tell your mom.

Apologize for that. Didn't quite know the rules on this forum. And I do agree with what Kraken said to a point about level design and all that, but I do believe that there can be some good that can come out of this mess. But then again, I'm an optimist in this matter, Sonic's the reason i got into gaming to begin with.

The last few (or...the 3D games anyway) Sonic games have been shit.

So, I have no cause to have faith in the series anymore. Regardless of who is in it or how it will be played. Unless it can prove me wrong, it is shit from the beginning, and I very highly doubt I will play it at all.
