This is the first of a number of reviews I will be writing with the title "Quicken'Ez" (Quick and easy) as they will be a detailed, but quick rundown of the game. So without further delay here we go!

Players: Single
Play Style: Tower defense - 3rd Person combat
Cost: $9.99
Price-fun rate: 7.5/10

Orcs Must die is a tower defense game with a third person combat styling added in. Between each round you get your money, and at any time you can use it to build traps on the floor, wall or ceiling making your pre-game selection of traps more and more important as time rolls on. The better you do on a level, the more skulls you receive. The more skulls you have, the more upgrades you can get.

Early on Orcs Must Die feels rather shallow, making you feel babied as if the game believes you're its "special" child and cant be left to do too much at once. Though by the protagonist's one liners, this may not be far off. As you move along the game does ramp up the difficulty at a rather rapid rate and near the end can feel as if you should have another player along side you.

The story is rather simplistic and follows the title's lead but still keeps a rather smooth, non-interrupting style with small cut scenes or small dialogues during gameplay. And speaking of dialogue the one liners and back and forth comments between the Hero and Villain are entertaining and work well, unlike a lot of modern game personalities.

Overall its a cheap game with good graphics and fun gameplay. It wont be something you will rave about, but if you enjoy a humorous experience with a tower defense challenge then pick it up!
