The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now is a community-based organization that advocates for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues.

Apparently tax evasion, human trafficking, and child prostitution are also on the agenda.

Part 1 of the ACORN sting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UOL9Jh61S8
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqORp48uik

The current President was also an attorney for ACORN and is set to receive billions of dollars in taxpayer money in the form of economic stimulus funds.

I would have to say probably not. I think if even there was the slightest glimmer of something like that is going down, some republican congressmen would be quick to call an impeachment. Please be better informed next time.

Know whats funny? I watched both videos... not once did I see much of anything resembling official acorn property. It seems they rented an old store front, put up some props, an Acorn logo hidden inside, and never once showed the outside of the building.... yet somehow they got approval of these employees to have their faces displayed along with their names to the public? And as they finally show another room... as they are walking outside, they jump straight to a silly dance number rather then show us the outside of the building. Why? BECAUSE IT WAS A FAKE STUDIO!

If you think that was fake, I have a bridge to sell you.

Look up the address shown in the fist part of the first video.

I didn't know those two people represented ACORN as a whole. I knew this one guy who worked at a Ford plant near my home town who used to steal office supplies like nuts. I think we should stop trying to bail Ford out because of that bastard.

Your logic is impeccable. Hell, let's not give out any bailout money because every company has probably done something stupid!

"MIAMI ? Armed with a tip from the grassroots group ACORN about its own workers, authorities on Wednesday began arresting 11 people suspected of falsifying hundreds of voter applications during a registration drive last year."

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/09/09/voter-registration-workers-sought-for-fraud-in-florida/

"A spokesman for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office told CNN Wednesday that the investigation was actually initiated by ACORN, after its own quality control inspectors discovered a problem with some of the voter registration cards submitted by its canvassers. ACORN then brought its findings to law enforcement."

...just cause there are some greedy nuts in that group , it doesn't mean the group is entirely bad. ...in regards to your post, unless I see it from an offical source or backed by more than just blogs then I'll regard it as a possible truth.

Which one? I found 16 w. 25th street Baltimore, MD 21218, USA, the address and the phone number do indeed belong to an acorn building. (or at least one with posters of acorn) It also looks similar.

However, i could not find a 846 n broad (no city given)...

Also, shame on the people who make this video, i sincerely doubt they had permission to do this, (which leads me to believe it is not real), and even if this is real it would not be able to be used in court.

This is obviously all right wing lies and propaganda. Promote child sex slavery? Have you literally lost your mind? What is wrong with you people? Crappy YouTube videos? That is your "proof". This would be laughable if it were not so distasteful. Take this crap else where. This has been reported. It is not even worthy of serious discussion.

With the aid of google they look like ok people, not the best in the world but they seem to have good ideas. However your "sting" looks more like a smear campaign.

Its good enough for CNN.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/10/acorn.prostitution/index.html

And if its good enough for blitzer, its good enough for me. Im surprised so many people can't believe that acorn is up to its ears in naughty business. EVERYONE who gets government money ends up sleeping with the devil eventually. Im really happy about all the stimulus money that went to those jokers.

see cnn link

note: though ive always felt something was a little sinister about the acorners, the folks in question were apparently baited into giving criminal advice. I mean, from what i read in the article alone, it seems like pretty sound advice on how to run criminal prostitution rings and get the tax evasion going. That doesn't mean acorners necessarily actually broke any laws.

Now that is trustworthy, whereas youtube is not.
