Okay, this seems like a really dumb and boring topic but I'm just wondering how you guys organize your physical media (Music, Movies, Games).

Music: I organize by artist and then album release order.

Movies: Unless it's a collection (like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street) I organize by director. The collections are organized by letter (N for Nightmare F for Friday).

Games: This one has really been driving me nuts lately. My PS2 games are all organized by when I bought them unless they were sequels. However, my Nintendo games are all organized by Nintendo properties and then organized by developer. I've been trying to come up with a better way for Nintendo but can't really think of a good one.

Anyway, if anyone else wants to share or offer suggestions to others or ask for ideas, feel free to post.

I tend to loosely organize by genre, so for example, all of my fantasy movies are in one area, my si-fi movies are in another, and the ones that straddle the line between the two are in the middle. I do this with both movies and videogames, aside from the ones that are in CD books because they don't have cases. Those are just alphabetical by title.

I used to order my games by system and then by how much I liked them, with the best at the top and the worst at the bottom, or left to right if they were arranged side by side. Nowadays I can't be bothered to do that though, so they're just in random order, though all of the games of any one system are together.
