Lets say that all life on earth is a huge experiment controlled by aliens in ways that we cannot fathom. To give us sentient minds, they installed a specific operating system into each and every one of our heads, but not everyone has the same one.

As a twisted turn of events, we somehow unknowingly replicated these operating systems into the computers we run today, IE Win98, XP, OSX, and the various flavors of Linux.

My question to you, o Wise and all-knowing Escapistiots, if this was true, what Operating System is running in YOUR head and WHY?

Probably Windows Vista. My mind gets a lot of viruses and crashes a lot.
I was thinking ME for myself for the same reasons. Overall mental instability, mainly.

Mac OSX. Just because its sleek and sexy.

I mean heaven knows I'm not sleek and sexy. But at least my brain can be.

Hm...

On one hand, maybe Windows XP. I work fine generally, but I can be very slow, unintuitive, and clumsy.

On the other hand, Mac OSX. Simply because my mind is primarily creative, and even most Windows users I know admit that Mac is superior in terms of creative design programs such as Final Cut Pro.

So I have some of the weaknesses of Windows, but I'm not completely incompetent and I'm rather creative, so there's definitely some OSX in there. So I'll say OSX.

Linux.

Both Mac and Windows sound like being a mind-controlled slave with various problems depending on the operating system. Being a boring smug bastard who wastes money on inferior but overhyped products if I were Mac, and being a buggy piece of shit if I were Windows Vista...

Meh, I'd rather take my penguin overlords.

I'm probably dual boot. I absolutely LOVE my gaming rig (rocking Vista) and I wouldn't play on anything else. On the other hand I can only work and design on a Mac with OSX. I guess I can pick my OS depending on the situation,

Windows... something. I don't know, my mind is highly organized, although things tend to get deleted fairly often. I'm a logical thinker and I'm always processing something.

We're born without software. Everything is written on the fly through our interpretations of our experiences.

Hence the reason there are so many "bugs."
Not in my alternate (Or maybe not-so-alternate...hmm) reality.

Just go with it.

Windows ME. My brain crashed a lot in the past.

I upgraded to XP. Now I'm feeling better. Few bugs, and glitches from the upgrade.
