Outer Heaven and Asteroid M

I was re-watching the original X-Men series the other day and it dawned on me that Outer Heaven and Asteroid M are pretty similar, both were founded by charismatic leaders seeking to protect their people (Magneto = mutants from humans Big Boss=soldiers from the patriots), both were misconstrued as an offensive when they were meant to be safe havens.

What do you guys think then?
