Over 50 Games Announced for Wii U Launch Window

Pikmin 3, Epic Mickey 2, and dozens more coming to Wii U before the end of March 2013.

As we now know, the Wii U will be available on November 18 in North America, with the premium bundle being packaged with Nintendo Land. The publisher also revealed a few dozen other titles that will be available in the Wii U's "launch window," which spans from November 18 to the end of March 2013.

In addition to Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U, both of which were shown off at the press conference, Nintendo is publishing seven other titles for the Wii U in the launch window: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Sing Party, Lego City: Undercover, Game & Wario, Pikmin 3, and The Wonderful 101.

There are also quite a few games coming from third-party publishers. Ubisoft is leading the pack with eight launch window releases, among them Rayman Legends, ZombiU, and Assassin's Creed III. They're followed by Activision's seven launch window titles, which include Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Transformers Prime, and Skylanders Giants.

Other launch window games of note are Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Disney Epic Mickey 2: Power of Two, Mass Effect 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and Scribblenauts Unlimited. Though Nintendo gave a March 31 cut-off date, I would expect many of these games to be available much sooner than that. We'll have more details as we get closer to the Wii U's launch.

But will I be able to move my Virtual Console games from the original Wii over to the Wii U? That is my primary concern as the VC was the only thing worth buying on the original Wii

I wonder how many of those games will be Wii U-only titles. Because all I ever saw from the initial announcements were mostly ports.

One of them will be Bayonetta 2. [http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Bayonetta-2-Wii-U-Exclusive-46864.html]

A game that many people thought didn't get a sequel in the first place is getting one afterall.

On the WiiU. As an exclusive.

Not something I saw coming.

I saw the announcement for Bayonetta 2, but that just makes me sad because I would have to go out of my way to buy a new console to play a sequel.

I think thats a source of alot of rage. While there probably are people that would buy it, they dont want to have to buy a whole new console to play it. Going from multiplatform game to WiiU exclusive... and there anyone who wonders why there are people pissed off.

It looks like Zombi-U is going to be the Red Steel of the Wii-U based on some hands-on, first impressions thing I read about a week or three ago. We won't know if it's a full blown Perfect Dark: Zero until it's out.

---

Something tells me Monster Hunter will be either exclusively Japanese or, it'll be one of the titles we don't see until February or March (baring some sort of delay). Either way, Pikman and Wonderful 101 look interesting enough but maybe not enough to get me to comtinue playing until April.

It'll probably be a later title; it's definitely coming to the US since it was announced at the US conference.

Yes, you will be able to keep your VC and Wiiware games. They still haven't detailed the process of that though.

That's certainly a big list, but out of those games, I'm only interested in Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends (if it doesn't come out for PC at least).

I would know, because I loved those games on the PS2.

Well, I personally wouldn't rage about it. I do own a Wii, but it was only purchased for the family, and all they ever play are Wii Sports or Guitar Hero. And when no one plays it, it just sits in my room, collecting dust. But to say that this one console will get all the sequels to games that more or less stopped just feels like Nintendo is really trying hard to cater to all the babies crying about how there are no good games on their system.

Those are some pretty decent release titles, but . . .

Nintendo. Smash Bros 4. Like, soon. Please. I will pay you money.

I dont care for Bayonetta myself, so Im not bothered anyway. But that still wont stop the people that did love bayonetta from still bitching about having to buy the WiiU to play the sequal.

I had fun with Bayonetta, and enjoyed the absurdity of it. But like I said before, I'm not going to rage. I'll just say, "That sucks," and move on. Plus, I don't have the extra cash to spare on any kind of game, let alone a whole new console.

MH3U will be localized, but will launch in Europe in March. There was no word about the US version, but I think it's safe to say it will be at the same time.

EDIT:
Something to think about:
Nintendo finances Platinum to make Bayonetta 2.
Sakurai visited Platinum. Kamiya tweeted that he wouldn't want his character to be in a rip off (aimed at Battle Royal)

Is it just me, or is there a chance of Bayonetta appearing in SSB Kerfuffle?
